It seems like sexual discrimination to fire her for getting pregnant at 16. If a 16 yr old male star at Nick or Disney got a girl pregnant I bet he wouldn't be fired. I get that she is a role model, but doesn't she have a right to a personal life? Playing a character on TV is a job, your kids can watch the character without knowing what is going on in her life. Maybe parents should limit their kids internet access instead of saying their kids can't watch a TV show that has nothing to do with a pregnant teenager

"Things happen?" Yeah, sure for the normal public who DON'T have their faces and images broadcast on TV and the internet 24/7 that's fine. Cameras' aren't on you. But guess what, this dumb-dumb for better or worse is portraying this image of "Wow, good little girl" and then "Oops, guess who got knocked up?!" Sorry, not exactly a good role model for underage kids ANYWHERE. "Oh but they've been dating for 2 years." Big deal! He could have been dating her for 2 minutes doesn't excuse the fact he knocked her up! I'm just surprised the boyfriend isn't going to be arrested and charge for statutory rape. You see that would be the "responsible" thing to do.

Better yet, canceling her contract would be an even better move for the network that hired her. If I had a corporation that depended on the purchasing power of teens who get their money from their parents, I'd pull out if the network still had this girl working for them. Which SANE parent would want to support their kid's idol that got knocked up and is all so happily cutesy about it? Yeah, I can't think of too many either. Too bad this girl didn't realize that her actions have negative impacts all around her until now. The book deal that her mother was going to get for "parenting" surprisingly got cancelled shortly after the announcement. "Oops!" Someone did it again!

The only good thing to come out of all this is for the public to realize that, "Wow, do I really want my kid to be super famous?" The answer is, "HELL NO!"

Come on give Jamie a break! Yes, she's 16 (almost 17 btw), yes she had sex (not necessarily unprotected...things happen) and yes she got pregnant. But she had sex with a guy she's been dating for two years...so she didnt just sleep around! The pregnancy was unplanned but I find she is taking it pretty well! Jamie Lynn is a wonderful person. I mean, come on. Is the only reason we even care because she's Brit's litle sis? We didn't get in Beyonce's sisters face a few years ago when SHE was 17, unwed, and preggers, so why should we be in Jamie Lynn's space? It's not fare to her. I also think that just because she is pregs doesn't mean that your kids HAVE to stop watching Zoey 101. It should be their choice if their still a fan of the show. I mean how many of you were teen moms, unwed? What about your teen daughters, or sisters?? Did you or your parents say who could and couldn't see you, them, or her?? If so then (that person's) life sucked, not because they got pregnant, but because people couldn't see them. She is going to be a good mom as long as she keeps her baby away from Britney. I love Zoey 101, I think it should definitely continue. & people should leave Jamie Lynn alone. What she does with her personal life is none of anyone's business. Give her a break! I will continue to watch Zoey 101 as long as it continues.
