For some people, name calling and throwing out the race card is their only "reaction". Me personally, I don't care what race/sex a candidate is. The problems I have with candidates I don't vote for are their values and principles they stand for. I'm not necessarily a McCain supporter. But, I have more in common with him than I do Obama. Obama is a Marxist/Socialist. I'm not a believer in that form of society. It doesn't work. In every country it has been tried, it has failed. I disagree with Obama's views. I disagree with the votes he has made. And I disagree with his plans for this country's future. His color? Irrelevant.. But, calling me a "racist" would be easier. Calling me a racist, would eliminate the need of debate and discussion. Mosts of the posts here are pretty nasty. I'm sorry for all who feel such anger and bitterness. But, that is an "individual's" personal struggle.And...before you bash me...I'm mixed too.

It is not Black people who make him BLACKER or being reared by his maternal side which makes him WHITER. Above all, American society loves to categorize people into little groups so we can better keep track of them and that is why we cannot see pass Obama as a man running for public office, but that he has to be either or.
He is not running for Black people any more or less then he is running for White people. Just as McCain isn't running for White people any more than he is running for Black people.
We are supposed to live in a democratic society where people vote for the candidate who best REPRESENTS what they believe in.
And regardless of who wins, no president can make as many changes as they promise they can make. BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF THEIR TIME SPENT IN OFFICE IS CLEANING UP THE CRAP BROUGHT DOWN BY THE PRIOR PRESIDENTS BEFORE THEM.

So for all of you who claim you are not racist, but still try and throw back and forth why 'the pot keeps calling the kettle black' need to expand your minds and think of the bigger things picture. If you are voting on a candidate strictly because of their skin color, then I, as an AMERICAN would prefer that you didn't vote at all...

If it were two women running for president...one black, one white...pretty sure some the votes would go towards the black woman..and the rest towards the white woman. If the white woman won by a couple of votes..black people would say...yet again, white people are racist. But, if the black woman won, there wouldn't be sh*t coming out of their mouths. That's what I think about it!

First of all, we are not in a recession. A recession is 2 quarters of negative growth. We haven't had that. Second of all, The Democratic Party has gone out of their way to destroy our economy. It's their agenda. When uninformed Americans accept the notion of a "poor economy" they look to our government to fix it. Which is in fact, the PROBLEM. In a free market, ups and downs, highs and lows are commonplace. The free markets are allowed to correct themselves. But, some Americans think the government is supposed to hand them their lives on a silver platter. And that isn't the "American Dream".

The American Dream is the belief that anyone regardless of race, color, or religious affiliation can come here and live his life as he or she chooses. People aren't denied that because of race!!!! There are too many "race pimps" that perpetuate the "racist" idealogy because as long as they do, the alleged "disenfranchised" will look to "Uncle Sam" to take care of them. Which is pathetic.

The focus on Obama's race isn't an issue. The media made it an issue!!! The media wants so bad to be of what they deem "a historical event", thus elevating the media's status. In Obama's own words, he has "loathed" his white heritage. (In his first book.) Now, that he desires to be President. he has to appeal to a group of people he has deemed to be loathsome. White People!!!

Lastly, each and every one of us are the masters of our own destiny. We make choices in our lives that have consequences good and bad. Instead of blaming others for our struggles, maybe we need to "look in the mirror" and take responsibility for the choices we make. I refuse to let anyone keep me from all life has to offer. I reject the perceptions of others and go forth on the path I was set upon by GOD. And in that concept, I can't lose.

blah blah blah blah... he is just trying to give the pretense of "mystery" to keep the buzz going. Celebrities will take any opportunity to ensure they are in the public conscience, even long after the story is retired. Does anybody really care anymore if these two are married? Old news and completely irrelevant to boot.

First things first ... They aren't telling you about their marriage because it's none of your business !
