Move over, Jim Halpert. There's a new crush for actress Jenna Fischer.
While on a strike-induced hiatus from playing secretary Pam Beesly on NBC's The Office, Fischer, 33, sat down with Us to discuss the new man in her life: Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story co-star John C. Reilly. The duo’s new project hits theaters December 21.
"John has a great butt," Fischer, who split from her director hubby James Gunn in September, enthuses. "That's his butt in the movie. I want the world to know that John C. Reilly has a mighty fine tush," the actress adds.
How were those sex scenes with the man who is Dewey Cox? A real hoot, says Fischer.
"During that first seduction scene, John played around with all these sexy animal noises. First he growled, and I reacted by saying "Oh, My Tiger!" Then he pretended to be a horse; "Oh, my stallion!" Then he quacked and I said, "Oh! My ..... Duck!" But that was left on the cutting room floor," Fischer chuckles.
And if the sex scene isn't enough, Fischer confirms that she and Reilly may have set a record for the longest on-screen kiss: all by improvising! During the film's first kissing scene, she says, the director pushed for a prolonged smooch, so, always one to please, Fischer puckered up for a good long time. "The director just told us that we needed to go as long as possible, and then a little longer," she explains. "We decided it was going to be the biggest build up to a kiss ever filmed, and I think we succeeded!"
Not a bad feat for someone recovering from a back injury. "I hurt myself this summer," the actress says. "I fell down some stairs and fractured some bones in my back. The bones are all healed, so now I need to do some physical therapy." First on her therapy list? Low-impact yoga with pregnant Office costar Angela Kinsey. "I don't know how I got roped into doing yoga with her, but my doctor heard that she was pregnant, and suggested that some low impact exercise like yoga would be good for recovery."
