I wonder why people are so pessimistic that they believe there's always an ulterior motive behind every action; even when it is something as noble as spending time with some innocent kids. Anyway, I believe it is because we judge other people by our own moral standard.

Jennifer Lopez performed for the first time since welcoming twins Max and Emme ... at an elementary school.

The new mom, 38, sang "Let's Get Loud" for a group of eight 10- and 11-year-olds at their graduation ceremony Tuesday, the Associated Press reports.
Students at PS 37 school for autistic children in Staten Island, New York, became obsessed with the Lopez tune after their teacher showed them the video.
They wanted to watch it every day, teacher Kathy Amati told a local paper. Eventually, they learned the lyrics and the dance moves from the video.
They wrote letters to Lopez for an autograph.
"From the minute we wrote the letters, they just automatically thought she would come," Ms. Amati said.
A response from the singer came Tuesday: One of her reps called, wanting to know the time of the graduation ceremony because Lopez wanted to attend.

It was very nice of J-Lo to perform for kids at PS 37 school for autistic children in Staten, Island New York, it was also nice of Johnny Depp to give kids stuff that he used & wore in his movies, etc.

as a mother of an autistic son(much younger than the ages listed in this article), i have to say kudos to jennifer lopez for even going! to me, even if it wasn't her singing(ie. it was the kids) that is a HUGE deal, especially considering expressive language is so difficult for so many autistic children(let alone them performing!).

The bottom line is J Lo made a group of kids happy. She didn't have to go, but she did. I give her props for going. She is a new mom and has a lot to do but made time for these kids and she takes care of her children herself. NO Nanny! She Rocks!

Just an FYI Usmagazine, Jennifer Lopez did not perform at the graduation. She went there to watch the KIDS perform her song. They were autistic children and practiced very hard to get this routine down, that is why she went, which I think is great of her. And it obviously wasn't for publicity, the school didn't even know she was coming until the day before the graduation, and the only reason anyone knows now is because it was in the local Staten Island paper.

To her credit, the gesture was awfully awesome of her and I applaud her for that, but here comes the pessimist in me: Isn't she promoting and filming a new reality show for TLC? I wonder if this "gesture" was being filmed.

11:03-Actually, women in their late 30s are more likely to conceive twins (naturally)than women of any other age. I don't think she used fertility drugs and even if she did, it's no one's business. Not that this has anything to do with the topic.
I think that's cute she went to the graduation, I bet she made those kids' day!

I think this is so awesome. I'm so proud to see a star such as Jennifer open her heart to those kids! It's just nice to hear good news that a star has done rather than all the Hollywood gossip all the time!
I'm sure she made those kids day. Congrats to those who graduated and also kudos to Jennifer for taking the time to brighten their day!!

If she has used assisted reproduction technology in conceiving twins then she should be honest enough to say so - even celebrities are not perfect! It's like another celebrity in France who said she was surprised she was having twins, when she knows that she was taking fertility tablets because her under weight appearance meant that she was finding difficulty in conceiving. But guess what - we all know everyone needs help some time - even celebrities.
