Jennifer Aniston is a Smart Girl

As Usmagazine.com reported in April, Jennifer Aniston, 38, has signed on as the new spokeswoman for smartwater. The former Friends star and yoga enthusiast is making signature smartwater bottles that will be in stores this July, and will appear in an upcoming campaign shot by famed photographer Mario Testino.

The partnership marks the actress' first U.S. endorsement, although she has lent her famous face overseas to brands like Heineken, L'Oreal and Damiani jewelry.

“We were thrilled that Jennifer discovered smartwater and realized what a difference it makes to her healthy lifestyle,” said Rohan Oza, smartwater’s senior vice president of marketing. “To us, Jennifer truly embodies what smartwater is all about as she combines substance and style like nobody else.”

According to a statement released by the company, “Jennifer became an immediate fan. She believes so much in smartwater that she recently became an investor in the company and is even getting actively involved in the business.”

That Aniston is no dummy. In 2004, rapper 50 Cent forged a deal with vitaminwater, which is made by Glacéau, the same company that created smartwater. Fiddy reportedly experienced a major windfall last week when The Coca-Cola Company purchased Glacéau (of which he owns 10%) for a cool $4.1 billion.

Sources told AllHipHop.com that the buyout earned the rapper an estimated $400 million dollars, although a spokesperson for Glacéau called the report “erroneous.”
