Jennifer Lopez is a mom of two!
The singer and her husband, singer Marc Anthony, welcomed a boy and a girl early Friday in Long Island, New York.
"Marc and Jennifer are ecstatic" her rep tells Usmagazine.com. "Everyone is healthy and happy."
The girl was born at 12:12 a.m.; the boy arrived at 12:23 a.m.
Their names have not yet been released.
The twins are the first children for Lopez, 38, and Anthony, 39. (He has three children from previous relationships.) They have been married since June 2004.
After weeks of speculation, Lopez finally confirmed her pregnancy during the final stop on the couple’s El Cantante tour in Miami November 7.
"Marc and I are expecting!" she gushed to a stunned audience. "This is a special time in our lives."
Lopez's pregnancy was Us Weekly's cover story in October.
"It's a dream come true," a Lopez source told Us of her pregnancy. "She and Marc are over the moon."
Lopez — who celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower Jan. 19 on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City — has said she's unsure whether she’ll be a working mom.
"I don't know — and I like that, because my life has been so planned for so many years," she recently told Harper's Bazaar.

What does her talent or lack thereof have to do with anything? That comment seems to define what your issue is, as it has nothing relevant to do with age. My point(s), whichever poster you are that I had responded to, were A.) Who cares about looks? All age differently, often regardless of age. B.) There are many different genetic issues that can happen to any women, also regardless of age. There are higher risks for older women, but there are many tests and preventative options that were not previously available. As neither point was addressed, I have to assume you agree.

I wanted to respond to the person as well who talked about DOCUMENTED AGE! You are something else. In fact, I think you are pretty ignorant in the comments you made. First of all I have three children, I am 30. I had my first at 24, 2nd, at 26, and just had my last baby. I have a Masters Degree, I am working mother, and am able to spend plenty of time with my children. Private schools are no better than the next school. I would know because I taught at one. Education is what you make of it what you teach your child. Also, who are you to call us moms trailer trash. What another ignorant comment. You are not the judge and creator. Hmmm did you say private school? That was not a very Chrisitian approach. I have worked very hard in life to get where I am at today, with no help from my parents. Some people grow up faster. Some are fortunate,and some are not. I really hope that you teach your children to accept all types of people. Hopefully they won't feel the rath of you thinking your way is the only right way. Good luck in life. My hats off to you for having you childrren later in life. I am pretty happy with my little set-up, and am a great mother too!

Having children prior to the age of 30-35 is a DOCUMENTED sign of lower class, less education and significantly less financial well being. So all you trailer park mothers who had kids at 24 can mull that over while my daughters (whom I had at age 37) enjoy the privilege of private school, amazing vacations, large trust funds and the undivided attention of both their father and I. My own parents were both in their late 30s when they had me, but I actually appeciate that now--they were more mature and financially stable (though I guess money is not a problem for this particular couple). Yes, there are some health risks, but why dwell on that? They just had twins, and we should congratulate them and hope for the best!

Congrats to Jennefer and Marc. Being an older parent as well. It really doesn't matter how old you are, as long as you're there for them and love them. Sometimes older parents
get to enjoy them a little bit more. Things are less hectic.

I was 39 when I had my daughter due to infertility Like JLo). She is now 12 and she thinks I rock. Who cares about age as long as she is a good mother.

I have not meet any one who can throw a stone at anyone. Can anyone say that they do not have a past or future that they have not been so proud of? My mother states if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all, hold your peace, that is what's wrong with the world as is. I give congrats to J-Lo and Marc. There have been a slew of stars in age that has given birth or about to, over the age of 40, but they never received negative comments about it. Children bring out the best in some people and makes them a better person, and I think that J-Lo will change accordingly. Everyone deserves second chances and this includes J-Lo.
