Jessica Simpson to Perform Country Song on The View

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson will perform her first single from her upcoming country album on The View on June 25.

The singer will sing "Come on Over" from Las Vegas, where the chat-fest is broadcasting that week.

Us Weekly reports in its new issue, on newsstands now, that Simpson's controlling father Joe has brought her relationship with Tony Romo to the brink and was the main source behind their split in May – and he even tried to manage the NFL player's career.

I wish her the best with her new album. I think she will do better with country music then she has with pop music. I love Jessica, but that breathy thing she does with her voice when she sings drives me batty!! As a major country fan, I am mad that Jessica is using country music as a last resort to save her career. It is a load of crap when she says country music is her roots. If country was her roots, why didn't she start off singing it in the first place? I will be pissed if radio actually plays her songs! There are way more deserving artists and much better songs out there than hers!

When is this chick's 15 minutes going to be up? When she "sings" she looks like she is having convulsions, and her voice is awful. I do not like the style that she sings with either, with the whole hesitating on each syllable and making herself sound like she's clearing her throat. Alot of singers these days do that and it's a turn off.

Well either way I'll be at work when The View is on, which will save me the trouble of having to change the channel.
