When Marvel comics released promotional posters for the film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, blogs immediately noted that Jessica Alba had been given the Photoshop treatment.
As expected, Alba (who turns 26 tomorrow) sports her character’s trademark blue eyes and blonde hair, but what was surprising was the fact that the actress’ tawny skin tone appeared to have been lightened by several shades and her jaw line had been slimmed.
The result was more along the lines of a Denise Richards/Claire Forlani hybrid.
Or, as the popular blog The Superficial snarked, “They could've put Chris Rock in there and it would've looked more like her."
However, insiders claim that Alba's look wasn't doctored.
A source on the set of the Fantastic Four tells Usmagazine.com: “The character of Sue Storm is blond-haired, blue-eyed, just as she was in the first Fan 4 film, just as she was conceptualized and realized in the comic book series.”
Reps for the film had no comment.

The altered picture looks disgusting. It looks nothing like Jessica Alba. They should have used a different actor, or used Jessica's original, beautiful, unaltered face... idiots.
As for the "uncaring" cynics, if you *really* don't care, don't go around visiting websites and taking the trouble to preach at people.

Who freaking cares if it was altered? I swear, the most minute details of celebrities' lives, looks, etc. are not that interesting. They still have vaginas and penises, like normal people, just with more money and fancier brazilian waxes!

Ofcourse in most photos they with airbrush most advertisments. But if you look at her in the first movie her skin looks the same as the right picture. The Blonde hair makes her skin look lighter and im sure they didnt let her lay out in the sun that much. But still looks like Jessica Alba no one else. Should let all the guys know they air brush those Victoria's Secret models too, nothing is what it seems in advertisements!

This is absurd that it is news, there isn't a professional piece done like the fantastic four film poster that isn't touched up in some way or another, it's part of the business for graphic design and professional photography, why do you think models look hotter in magazine spread than in person.

Well, she is half white so she probably jus wasn't sprayed with the tanning thing they always do for actresses. If you have seen her thru out the years she is not always the same color, naturally her skin color is mixed between being half white and half mexican. But obviously for this character they are playing up her white heritage more.
