Jessica Alba has opened up for the first time since announcing she and fiance Cash Warren are expecting their first child.
"It’s quite a blessing and perfect timing," she tells Extra in an interview, airing Wednesday, of her pregnancy.
But she says the whole experience has left her feeling more emotional.
"Anything could make me incredibly angry or break down crying," she says. "That’s not something I’m used to.”
Her one fear about mommyhood: Breastfeeding.
She says she recently had a dream and "it had to do with breastfeeding which is the only thing I’m paranoid about. More than giving birth.”
How is she staying in shape during her pregnancy?
"I try to eat as healthy as possible [and] exercise," she says. "As long as I don’t gain too much, too fast, that’s the key."

During Pregnancy..boobs are enlarging.. don't be stupid Alba, I'm sure your mom give you breastfeeding too, pity ALba, You spoiled your mom nipples too and his breast!! bonding between your children will be no more in future, ur children will kill u if he/she know that u never breastfeeding during their baby-hood.

Hey, come on! You think that is hard? Your baby has the oppertunity one milllion guys want. You have some big boobs, don't stand there all dumbfounded! Be proud of what you got going on! Now share that with your baby.
P.S. Im right about those boobs. I mean, come on! I know one trillion chicks who would die for some hot boobies like yours!

I want to know if ur husband has even seen you naked cuz errone famous has been naked in one movie except you cmon now show some BOOBIES
Ladies, I didn't read thru all of the comments, but I am a first time mom of a 7 month old boy and Jessica said EXACTLY what I said before having my son... more scared of BFing than giving birth. I think she is most likey scared of the baby LATCHing on and worried about how bad that might hurt. If she is like me it's because her boobies are really sensitive as it is... and the 'thought' of bfing is too crazy! That being said, my baby latched no problem; it never hurt, not one time in 7 months. I just wish her the best of luck.
"Baby Cows???" Nice comment from anonymous. Hopefully you're not breastfeeding so the baby doesn't get an ounce of your stupidity! To each is own people!!!!!!
I have two boys. i both breast fed them. my youngest is still 7 months old and therefore he is still being breast fed. breastfeeding my children is one of the most things i am proud of. you get to bond with them and after all i am doing the actual thing my breasts have been created for. its no big deal. you might get sore in the beginning but if you start using creams from before the birth it helps alot. like lansinoh. its natural. you just need to wipe and latch the baby on. its only a small while till your skin gets used to it. it might seems stressful but if you make it through the 1st month to 6 weeks then the worst is over. never give up. its not easy with being emotional and everything soon after the baby is born. but believe me....make it through the 1st month and you will succeed. try not to give formula unless really necessary coz it obviously fills the baby more and in a much easier way. goodluck!!!!!!!! oh and another thing is that after your systems adapts to the demand of the baby you should start expressing and freezing it so that whenever the mommy is not around he/she can still enjoy your breastmilk from the bottle. the good thing will be to train the baby to drink from a bottle. breast milk that is. avent bottle are the best in the market for managing both breast and bottle. oh and about giving birth. i had both a c section and a natural. nothing beats a natural birth. a c section is too clinical. mine was not by choice but because my baby had not decended. i would never have a c section for fun...coz its no fun at all.
Breastfeeding is a great way to bond with your baby. It is so special- I can't imagine why you would be scared of it.
Jessica Alba isn't unnaturally skinny!
She's thin and beautiful.
Some people were just made to be thin,
others not so thin but you shouldn't
talk bad about people.
Saying someone's too skinny is like telling
someone else they're too fat.
Whoever said Alba is shallow,
you're being a hypocrite.
Breast milk is best, it is made for baby humans. Formula is make from cows milk, made for BABY COWS.
hallooo wat up ?
I didn't breastfeed because I saw what happened to my mothers boobs and nipples, the size of gum-drops now and hang to her belly button lol. like someone rolled them out with a roller, and the 'stuff' is all at the end lmao. she laughs about..lol That strong formula is gross though.
my mother found the Carnation Good Start was the BEST, really mild and doesn't smell anything like that strong nasty formula like Similac and stuff, you know and when infants vomit that stuff, it smells really bad too.
My daughter never vomited on the Carnation Formula after that, and she thrived even more. She really like it. It wasn't real Thick and gross. But more naturally milky.
Yea they always seem to All have c-sections.
People with lots of money always have that choice, whether it's medically neccessary or Not. which ony a fraction are actually neccessary.
I tried to have a choice and they wouldn't let me lol.
I guess they think it will help them keep their man longer lol.
but it also does damage to your stomach wall muscles, unless they have surgery to get rid of the scars and fix the cut muscles as well, which yes they have the money to do as well. lol dam* celebrities can buy anything lol.
She's pretty n stuff, but I think way too overrated. like others. One day you see her almost flat chested and the next day she's like a C cup, then flat again. lol;p
I would love one of those shape enhancing catsuits they get to wear. hehe
well i dont think she is pregnet.....
whos baby is it???
Colic and Reflux are hereditary. I have it, my oldest son has it and more then likely, his child will. I attempted breastfeeding with both sons and could not. They were both over 8.5 pounds at birth and are now 25 and 22 and 6+ feet tall and neither is over weight. Some moms can do it, others can not, but no woman should feel like she is a failure if she can not. You can still bond with your baby, even if he/she is bottle fed.
Hey 11:42 and 12:32:
Here's an idea: why don't YOU go light up a pack of reds? Then shove 'em someplace they'll fit.
Breastfeeding works for some moms, and not for others. But it certainly isn't anything to be scared of. You just need to get some guidance...from friends, family or books. And a good lactation consultant can usually help moms through any breastfeeding questions. Jessica-- you should read my book "Mama Knows Breast: A Beginner's Guide to Breastfeeding" and check out my website www.mamaknowsbreast.com
P.S. to whoever said its a cult, that's ridiculous. Nutritionists are trying to promote good health, sure at the end of the day its the mother's wish but if you are looking out for the well being of your child -- read all the literature, and figure out the facts. Breastfeeding your child even for a day is better than not breastfeeding at all. It's the most natural thing.
Breastfeeding, as statistics show, reduces the risk of breast cancer and other diseases for the mother. It also builds immunities for the child, and gives them all the nutrients they need. Children who are breastfed have lower risk of diabetes and other diseases compared to children who were formula fed. The mother is also less likely to get pregnant while breastfeeding, and it could be a good way to manage weight.
Breastfeeding is worth all the benefits.
but there is no denying that it is completely the BEST for the child (immunities, bonding, dental formation, etc), as long as you're not selfish and ARE taking care of yourself.
To 12:32:
Amen to that!
I agree with Jessica, I wouldnt want anyone on my breast unless they were searching my bustline for a lime after taking a shot of tequila! JK, at my age that would be strange. I think my home nurse would have to report that to my social worker, what would my grandkids think of me!
Hey 8:17
Just because she's not a fattie doesn't mean you can hate.
It is soooo painfully obvious when someone makes a comment like you that your just jealous of women who actually bother to do two very simple things. Eat right, workout.
She doesn't look unnatural. That is what healthy looks like. I know! Crazy, right?! Got diabetes? High cholesterol? Walking heart attack? Size 18 is NOT normal. It just seems that way because most of this country is obese. No amount of "love your body" will change that. You might as well light up a pack of reds. It's just as bad.
