Jessica Alba admitted on NBC's Today Show this morning that she's "never been the one to emphasize anything" about her looks.
Still, even she was taken back by how much her body changed since becoming pregnant.
"You go, 'What’s happening?’" the newly engaged Eye star said. "You definitely have to go with the flow. You have to surrender, but it’s a shock to the system."
But Alba, 26 — who says she is "past [the morning sickness] stage" — says she and fiance Cash Warren are elated they're expecting.
"I’ve always loved kids and I’ve always wanted kids, so this is, you know, it’s kind of perfect," she said.
“I feel really blessed," she added. "I feel really lucky. This is the best time ever ... It’s the best year.”
Alba, who hid her bump at the Sundance Film Festival, remained mum on her wedding to Warren. (Us has previously reported that Alba doesn't want to look pregnant in a wedding dress.)
“I’ve thought about it," she said of tying the knot. "I’ve thought about it, yeah.”
