Jessica Alba on Seeing Baby Bump: "It's a Shock to the System"

 George Napolitano/FilmMagic Jessica Alba admitted on NBC's Today Show this morning that she's "never been the one to emphasize anything" about her looks. Still, even she was taken back by how much her body changed since becoming pregnant. "You go, 'What’s happening?’" the newly engaged Eye star said. "You definitely have to go with the flow. You have to surrender, but it’s a shock to the system." But Alba, 26 — who says she is "past [the morning sickness] stage" — says she and fiance Cash Warren are elated they're expecting. "I’ve always loved kids and I’ve always wanted kids, so this is, you know, it’s kind of perfect," she said. “I feel really blessed," she added. "I feel really lucky. This is the best time ever ... It’s the best year.” Alba, who hid her bump at the Sundance Film Festival, remained mum on her wedding to Warren. (Us has previously reported that Alba doesn't want to look pregnant in a wedding dress.) “I’ve thought about it," she said of tying the knot. She says she is so happy to finally be able to have a child, yet she's trying to hide the fact she's pregnant. God, this girl is stupid and has absolutly no talent. I've heard some quotes that she's said like how she was always made fun of because she has "full lips and a curvy body" and she stays in shape because "someone has to do it."

It is not acceptable to do just as we want because our inclination is toward sin. we need to live up to GOd's standards, not our own. Fornication among other things are viewed as detestable things. 122- that makes no sense whatsoever. So you think that God should just accept people living life anyway they want? You don't think that there should be a moral value system to which we should live? So, if I feel like going out and stealing something from a store God should just accept me for who I am? It's true- God accepts a person who is not perfect and wants to follow him and turn their life around, but he's also perfect and cannot look at sin as acceptable. He does however forgive when we do sin.

12:19 anon and 12:11 i totally agree. It's refreshing to see some people still have high moral standards now a days. On a personal note, if a guy loves you enough to have sex with you, which is the most intimate thing you can do with a person (because of the exchange of body fluids and all)then that guy should have no problem wanting you to be his wife first. and that's not based on biblical standards for all you people who think sex is a personal preference(athough, fornication is in fact a moral issue. The Bible clearly states it view on sex outside of marriage.)this is based on having self-respect for yourself.

1 out of 2 marriages fail while only 2.7 out of 10 women have children before (or without) getting married. You haven't heard that 1 out of 2 marriages fail? I have done my homework, and I am living my life...I actually learned this in grad school. Also, I am not talking about being unresponsible (who said pop out a bunch of kids?! Not me.), nor am I saying it is a good idea for a child to grow up w/o a father figure. Just becasue 2 people are not married and they have a child does not mean the child will nto have a father figure- why is that so hard for people to understand? Not being married doesn't make your relationship any less committed, special, meaningful, or legit. That's what I'm saying. It is ok for people to get married or to not get married. It's also ok for either couple to have a child. Live and Let live! And leave your God out of it, PLEASE! It seems (to me, my obeservations here :) that when people bring up God, it makes it okay for them to stand in judgement of others. Ironic, huh?
