Jessica Simpson isn't letting a break-up and a busted movie get her down. On the contrary, the pop star is on the cover of August's Harper's Bazaar looking as confident and sexy as ever. Read on for excerpts from the magazine's interview!:
On people's changing perceptions of her since her Newlyweds days:
“I don’t think people really know me anymore. Everybody used to see my day-to-day life; you saw a lot of my personality and my goofiness...I like falling on my face and getting up again, because everybody does it. Everybody has burped at the dinner table once in her life and said excuse me, you know?”
On the subtle differences between her and sister Ashlee Simpson:
“The difference between me and my sister – she goes to a thrift store and can buy something for 20 bucks, and I have to go buy a black button-down at Barneys. For $900. Because it’s a collector’s item.”
On whether she would ever have plastic surgery:
“I love the bump in my nose. People have said that I’ve had things like a jaw replacement or implant or something. I’m photographed everyday of my life and have never worn any bandages or anything, so how could that be right? But maybe after having kids, if my boobs dropped down to my belly button, I would get them lifted...Maintenance. But you know, my boobs are real.”
On who all the effort is for:
“I dress for men. I dress for men and myself. If I’m dressing for men, then I know it’s good for myself!”

I found her interview pictures in Harpers to be pretty unremarkable. Not hating, just stating my opinion. The only thing I got out of it was that she still has unresolved feelings for her ex husband Nick. She talks about cooking around the holidays being hard because she associates it with marriage. At that moment in the interview her mom walks by. It's pretty obvious that they keep this girl on a short leash and don't want her to GO THERE. I think her parents completely control every aspect of her life which is sad for a woman who is almost thirty years old.

I like JS. She is beautiful and far more real than most Hollywood types in her age range. She has enjoyed significant success and kept herself out of trouble. She is not a rocket scientist, but then again never claimed to be one. Most of Hollywood is full of dolts who think they are brilliant. JS doesn't preach politics, doesn't party in the streets, doesn't flash herself for the cameras, etc. Should she model herelf more like Paris, Linday or Britney? Finally, she looks great in just about anything. She has classic good looks and dresses the part in tremendous fashion. She's got a lot of class.

Shows that she is insecure, vain, dim, etc. These are her words and it's really not all that surprising now is it? I believe the lips was botox injections or whatever that stuff is to plump them...she didn't have any other surgeries though. Otherwise she would look a heck of a lot better! haha!
Nick was the better half in that marriage if you actually watched the show. They are both better off being apart and I actually think they have both also lost some of their fame. He seems like a nice guy and i wish him better luck this time around.

Funny how Nick cried like a little baby when Jessica dumped him. He's not a real man. If she was so bad than why did he want her back (and still does)?
