It just goes to show that in the day and age of the media and the necessity to cover the campain it will do anything it can to bring a spotlight good or bad. We in america struggle to make ends meet, this is not because of one man or one party. This system runs on a set of checks and balances. No one decision is made by one man, yes he has the power to veto a bill; however the congress and senate can overturn that veto if they feel it is necessary. Maybe we should look at the real story, america feels they need a change, however American's are not willing to change. We have become acustom to doing what we want, when we want. Then when it goes haywire we look for some else to blame. We as individuals need to wake up, stop over extending ourselves with credit cards, loans that look good, and start saving money. 17% of all households that make over 100K a year have enough saved to pay all their bills for 3mths. That means 83% live pay check to pay check. Maybe we need to start learning to need a little less and make more of the time we have. Just food for thought.

Wow... really I am so tired of hearing about his new ad. It wasn't meant to be taken in the context it was! He was simply showing that we as a nation have almost forgotten that this is a presidential campaign and we are treating Obama more like we treat our celebrities, instead of a president hopeful. People can criticize McCain and what he wears but really it doesn't matter what our future president wears it should be what his view points are! If this is a major topic of our lives we seroiusly need to reconsider what and how we think.

I get the impression that US is biased against John McCain. Is it too much to ask for the coverage of the two Presidential nominees to be somewhat fair? As if Obama hasn't worn an expensive piece of clothing ever. And really, McCain's wife is an heiress and she has plenty of money, would it be better if he had on a pair of shoes that cost $20? My dad isn't affluent, but he has nice suits for special occasions and he has expensive shoes too. That doesn't mean anything. It's a trivial item, and if all that anyone can drudge up about McCain is his footwear, then I think that's pretty good.

Educate yourself - veteran groups have given McCain a D grade in supporting bills that favor veterans; Obama scored a B+. Obama supported the Webb GI bill, McCain spoke out against it, and then didn't even show up to vote on it (hasn't voted for anything in a long time) but he did accept Bush's praise for it when it passed despite McCain's and Bush's opposition. McCain doesn't want the VA to provide medical care to any vets except for those with combat injuries. (So what happens to the VA hospitals when the US isn't at war? Oh, I forgot - if McCain is President he will ensure that the US is in a never ending war - so the VA hospitals will be plenty busy. McCain doesn't want vets to get any college benefits until they have served at least 12 years in the service!!! (but McCain got his free education before serving any time in the military - you know he got to go to the free fancy college for the military elite). How is that suppose to help keep men and women in the service? In the private and government sector - many jobs offer educational benefits immediately, or within 6 months of employment. And they retain their employees because happy workers stay put. Disgruntled workers leave.
