John Mayer: Tricks and Tears

 Andrew Marks / Retna Ltd. John Mayer is singing the blues about Ryan Seacrest and former Sony Music chairman Don Ienner. The "Wonderland" singer, 29, tells GQ.com he knew Seacrest, 32, would ask about his fling with Jessica Simpson at this year’s Grammy's in February. Miffed, Mayer decided to take action. "When Ryan says, 'You know I have to ask you'—which is one of the dumbest prefaces of all time—I think, Maybe I’ll just answer you in Japanese," he Oh, snap! A source tells Us, "[He and Ryan] are friends. This is something John said in jest." Mayer wasn't as crafty when he learned that former Sony head Ienner didn't initially dig his latest disc, Continuum. When he got the bad news via his manager, "I cried that day. I'm a huge fan of John's. I love his Continuum album! He is a great musician and even better performer. I would just die if he quit music all together. Record labels out there don't exactly know what is trully great music. Not everything needs to be cookie cutter in order to be accepted by the audience. We do have taste!

I would totally be bummed out if John ever decided to quit for the simple fact that he is one of the few true musicians out there. It took awhile for this guy to grow on me because of his creepy way of either giving the mic head while performing or the really bad sex faces he does, but once I decided I just wouldn't WATCH him perform, I realized just how great this guy is.

I would be very upset if John Mayer quit music. I love his music and I think he is a very unique person. I love his looks, height, and sense of humor. Everytime his music comes on the radio I turn it up. I'm a very big fan of his. Keep up the good work John!!! May God continue to bless you.

He seems talented but the song '...your body is a wonderland...' reminds me of that weird 70s song - 'Afternoon delight.' It's like he's the offspring of the couple who were foolin around that 'afternoon.' BTW - That Campbell Brown, from the 'Today' show, also ordered a 'Michael Jackson special' nose job.
