Johnny Knoxville wandered around Japan in a Panda suit, taunted alligators and was blamed for countless kids hurting themselves in copy-cat stunts. But somehow the man is making headlines for wearing a T-shirt.
Knoxville, 36, wore a controversial t-shirt on April 23 while at a birthday lunch with his agent at L.A.’s Mr. Chow. (The agent is pictured on the shirt.)
So we asked that genteel jackass what sartorial statement he meant to make. Is he worried people will think he's homophobic?
Johnny Knoxville tells Usmagazine.com exclusively, “Homophobic? Because I use the word "homo" on a shirt?! Puh-lease!... In the group I run with 'homo' is a term of endearment. It's a compliment. I mean you've seen Jackass: The hot pants, the oiled young men, the rainbows. Me calling somebody homo is like Weeman calling someone short.”
Thanks, Johnny. Expect an angry call from Emmanuel Lewis soon.

Knoxville and the whole Jackass crew are anything but homophobic. The show and all it's participants all seem to come off as very gay friendly and gay positive. I think the T shirt was a joke, and should be taken as one. As a gay male I was not the least bit offended, instead had a nice laugh. Jackass is the funniest show/movie ever.

I think the picture and the shirt are toooooo funny! Johnny is hilarious and it's obvious his agent is finding humor in the shirt so lighten up GLAAD! Homo/gay/lesbian are not rude but any other word is.
