Jonas Brothers Announce Target Presents Variety's Power of Youth Event

 Scott Burton The Jonas Brothers are taking their new role as Power of Youth Ambassadors to a new level with the 2008 Target Presents Variety's Power of Youth in L.A. on October 4. "We're doing whatever we can do make kids' lives better," Nick Jonas, 15, told Usmagazine.com as they toured St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Target House in Memphis on Monday. "[It's] something that's been in our hearts for a long time," Joe Jonas, 18, told Us. "Our parents and grandparents have all donated to St. Jude!" Nick added. Nick's personal health has given him insight into children's issues. "I'm a diabetic," he said. "I know that when someone is diagnosed with something like that they feel alone. If we can just offer some encouragement even if it's just taking a photo or signing an autograph then we're doing our part to help them not feel so alone." Kevin Jonas, 20, was touched by the tour of the facility. "It was very touching to meet all of these kids and look them in the eyes," he told Us. "Even if it's only for a moment, it helps to take that pain away. The pure joy in their eyes is possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life." Other young stars who'll be at 2008 Target Presents Variety's Power of Youth to raise money for St. Jude: Hilary Duff, Miranda Cosgrove, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, Angus T. This is living proof that they are good people. Using what they've earned to help kids who need it. Inspiration they convey to others as they enter places where a child may feel down and sad. I applaud them for being amazing young individuals who cares about people many overlook. God bless them.

I think that's really nice of them.My grandma past away over 2 weeks ago and she had diabetes.My mom has it too. Just 2 knw that they're supporting something like that is really inspiring.i'm not really a JB fan,but it's so amazing 2 knw that the Jonas Bro. really care about all those kids.wish i was there 2 see it:)

I went to there concert july 22. nick was talking about how anyone can say they understand how you fell but they really dont, well i glad they went their. they are great inspirations!! i know that all their patiants really enjoied that day.i thought it was really sweet how kevin was holding that little girl...and about how much it touched him. i live in ridgely t.n. so i live pretty clode to st. jude and i havent been their but it really makes me want to go visit the hospitial. anyway i just like thst the jonas brothers would do that for their fans

WOW that is so nice of them . my little sister died from cancer in 2001 . I was only eight and i know what those families are going through , i wouldve loved to have my favorite band visit me and my sister at a hard time in our life , this makes me love them even more . you guys can do anything .

the Jonas brothers vist to st.jude was amazing. my little cousin goes to st.jude and it was the highlight of her day. Along with many others. it is amazing to see how such young stars can care so much for others. it really is an inspiration to everyone our age, to get out their and do something. they really do care about everyone and that showed. so thank you to the Jonas brothers for all their support and care for those in need. I know that the day the Jonas brothers came will be a day my little cousin will never forget. So thank you

The Jonas Brothers are very nice people, along with the other celebs, who'll be a part of this event: Target Presents Variety's Power of Youth Event, which will take place on October 4, and it's great that The Jonas Brothers visited St. Judes, and that they're grandparents and parents have all donated to St. Judes, and I had no idea that Nick Jonas was a diabetic, and that he's right, you don't have to feel alone! I wish Nick Jonas all the best with his diabetes, and who knows, maybe it'll go away? As long as he's taking very good care of himself,? it's all good! Post new comment |
