Hmm.. well, I'm 41, look like my early to mid 30's, and I've met girls as young as 25 I would (and do) date. But I would never go below 25. No way, no how. It's not dating the younger women that is a problem, it's when you meet their guy friends that look like they're 12 (like this guy) that makes you feel old.

my mom dates a friend of mine from highschool and they have been together for 3 yrs + . they are best friends and get along well. he's 24 and she's 49 everyone makes such a big deal but who cares!!!??? people are so uptight and stupid and need to reevaluate their own lives!!!!!!!

Why would a 40 year old want a 20 year old? Because they are horny and old and want to feel better about themself by doing a younger person. Remember, you are only as old as the person you are sleeping with.

O.k, that's cool, but not all 40 year olds are old and saggy, and remember you'll be 40 one day - when I was 20, 40 year old guys grossed me out too.

I don't think it's a matter of "letting" a 21 year old do anything. It's not as if he's a child, and I have to think that on some level, guys would be almost proud of their sons dating hugely famous super models. Seriously, what dad is going to complain that his son is dating Elle Macpherson? I mean, if she were an alcoholic/drug addict or somehow a really horrid influence, then yeah, I guess there would be cause for concern, but a grown man dating a grown woman? Who cares? It's fine that all these guys date younger women (Jack Nicholson, George Clooney, etc...) but as soon as a woman does, then it's like, "oh, is this okay?" or she gets branded a cougar. Mind you, I'm 26 years old myself, but if a woman wants to date a guy half her age, I don't care. He's not a child so at this point, it's consenting adults.

He's 21, legal to drink, legal to do whatever he wants. His parents don't have a say. As far as the age difference, if the tables were turned, no one would say a thing. I think people are just envious that she looks as good as she does.

I can't believe that he couldn't even get Elle. I don't care if she is 44, she looks better than most women in their 20's. As long as he is over 18 who cares? No laws are being broken & it isn't anyone else's business.

I think that it's great that younger men are going for older women more frequently these days. This situation wouldn't seem so creepy if Schnabel didn't look like a 13 year old. Seriously, that kid's gonna be carded everywhere until he's 45 years old.

I totally agree with Anon 7:27; it is creepy because he does look like he is at most 14. If it were a Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher match it would not look so strange...but it is a free country, and he is 21 (or so they say).

That doesn't gross people out, it is widely accepted for older men to hook up with younger women. Why is it not the same if a woman finds a younger man? If two adults enjoy each others company, and if they are comfortable with an age difference, in either direction, then why judge them? Where does it say that the man needs to be older, or that there can only be x number of years between partners? That's just close minded, and in this day and age you'd think society would be more accepting.

What can you do? The guy is 21, he's grown.

I feel that anyone who has a problem with younger people dating older people are maybe jealous cause they don't look good enough to get a person their own age let alone a younger person.
