I feel bad for him that this has become so publicized. I too suffer from insomnia and it is a debilitating condition. Your mind goes out of wack and you feel really desperate to seek help. He is probably going to the clinic to seek help and get sleep with out doing anything too detrimental like Heath Ledger. I admire him and hope it helps him.

Grey's Anatomy star Justin Chambers checked into the psych ward of the UCLA Medical Center on Monday and checked out Wednesday for a "pre-existing sleeping disorder," his rep said in a statement to Usmagazine.com.
“Justin Chambers voluntarily checked himself into UCLA Medical Center to get help with a pre-existing sleeping disorder on Monday, January 28, and checked out Wednesday, January 30," the rep said. "He asks that that the press respect his privacy and that of his family at this time.”
TMZ.com quoted Chambers' rep as saying that the actor, husband and father of five, was "exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder."
"He went in voluntarily to get some help," the rep said.
Chambers was in the same ward where Britney Spears is currently staying, according to TMZ.
In 2001, Mariah Carey was also treated at the UCLA Medical Center for an emotional breakdown.

He is cool. But I am very curious. Why did he post his profile on a celebrities and wealthy website named
"Marry Millionaire.com". What is he looking for there?
Angela you responded to my earlier post you said:
The UCLA Medical Center is a normal hospital. It's not a "mental hospital". And FYI, they do have a sleep clinic there.
So stop with the speculation. He hasa sleeping disorder and because of it he's suffering from exhaustion. I commend him for getting help and hopefully he gets better soon
Well obviously you DIDN'T read the article before correcting me. The article states that he checked into the PSYCH WARD. I repeat you do not go to the psych ward if your problem is a sleep disorder. Next time RTFA Angela.
Maybe he found out his wife is pregnant with their 6th child. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh off to the looney bin.

Who's she? Her face looks familiar.
More medical resources wasted on another self centered celebrity. He should;ve just popped some sleeping pills instead of making his wife take care of the kids alone while he gets "treatment" for his "exhaustion."
actually, he's from my hometown and was just here a few weeks ago. he and his wife DO Not have a nanny, they take care of all five of those kids on their own. they live a very normal life. anyone who's ever had chronic insomnia knows that it is very difficult and affects every area of your life.
In Hollywood, sleep disorder = addiction and
exhaustion = withdrawal.
Heath Ledger's death was probably a WAKE UP call. No pun intended.
He just wanted to get away from wifey and kiddies.
I think these people can't sleep because they are always worried about losing the fame they have.
ohhh forgive the father of five, he was sleepy and to get sleep he had to go to the psych ward. Bigots
cool
cool
I heard this news earlier from another place. It seems that people are all interested in him. No wonder so many people discussing it at interracialromancing.com
Umm, they don't admit you into a medical ward for sleep when you need rehab. This is why there are specialized places for particular illnesses. Believe it or not, there are people in these places that work there, they are trained to identify certian risk factors that would indicate particular problems. So they do a lot of work evaluating them before admitting them to know if they should be there. Can you imagine? Professionals, trained, knowing what they are doing?!
Think a bit. And of that doesn't get it, try and go to a hospital and get randomly admitted.
Odds are he has previously been diagnosed with his disorder.

The sleep clinic is not in the psych ward. Those are two separate fields. You can look up where the sleep clinic is at UCLA.
Angela - Genius, I'm sure most hospitals have a sleep clinic, including the celeb fav., Cedars Sanai. I'm in healthcare, and I've never seen people legitemately undergo treatment for the SOLE purpose of exhaustion. That's a ridiculous excuse. Whatever, he probably needs rehab for something...but we'll see what type of care he's willing to accept.
He needs REHAB
I'm sorry but I have never met anyone who was in a mental hospital because they were "exhausted." I just don't buy it. If you have sleep problems then you go to a sleep clinic.

Same ward as B-dawg. Hmm that can’t be too inspiring. Its like, “Hey, if you don’t get better, THIS is what you could end up like” [Cut to BS in corner talking in a British accent, bald, huddling in the corner]
I'm just glad Justin Chambers is ok & got the help he needed!

Can't you figure it out? He's obviously exhausted because of lack of sleep, not because of work.

No sh1t, sherlock. My question is WHY is he not sleeping? B/c he sure as hell isn't working! WTH is he doing all day and night?
Also, the pic of him is at the sag awards on Sunday and he went in on Monday...sounds kinda odd to me.
But like I said, after Heath's death, at least he's getting some help.
