When Justin Timberlake, 25, was casting the femme fatale for his new $1 million video, "What Goes Around," the singer – who was on the rocks with 34-year-old girlfriend Cameron Diaz -- went after one actress: Scarlett Johansson. And Johansson readily agreed, an odd choice for the seasoned thespian who’s known for her careful film choices.
But not if you have a crush on the leading man, says a pal of Johansson.
“Scarlett has always liked Justin. They’ve always had a flirtation – that’s why Cameron was threatened by her.”
With good reason. The decision to cast the 22-year-old as the video vixen pushed Timberlake's relationship with Diaz to the breaking point, and paved the way for Johansson to move in for the kill.
“She could not believe he went behind her back to put her in the video," says a Timberlake pal. "Cameron was very jealous of Scarlett.”
Adds the source, “they definitely got together after she did the video.”
Indeed, sources in both stars’ inner circles tell Us the couple are in the beginning stages of a relationship and excited to get to know each other.

Nobody's perfect. Scarlett was pretty close. But she'd be a myth if she was perfect. So she had to add this non-entity to her entourage. Now we know she's less than perfect & therefore human!

I think Justin is better off without any of them. Scarlett has a big nose and she looks as if she is soon going to be fat. Cameron is just aging pretty badly..she has crow's feet for God's sake! Britney isn't a pretty girl, nor does she have any talent. So Justin needs to take his time and date other potentials, cause Scarlett is ugly, Cameron isn't cute anymore, and Britney is Britney (enough said).

I'd rather see him date Scarlett than for him to date Britney again. No offense to Britney but she had her chance with Justin and things didn't work out. He took her virginity, but then again it was out of love. I'm a fan of Justin Timberlake but I feel that Scarlett is a better pick that Cameron or Britney Spears. Lynne is trying to reach out to Justin Timberlake and Justin even said "I feel sorry for Britney, but I know that I have to stay away from her." If Justin & Britney go back together then his career is ruined. But if he dates Scarlett, then his career will still be the same, maybe even better but if he's happy than I'm happy. Maybe Justin & Britney will go back out in time but also if they don't then they might be friends and nothing more.
