Kanye West is furious that he didn’t take home any Moonmen at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards.
"He told MTV he is really disrespected and doesn't know if he'll do the show again,” a source tells Usmagazine.com. “He left the show furious. That's probably why he took off right away."
According to the Associated Press, the 30-year-old rapper threw a tantrum in front of media and crew backstage as the show was ending. While waiting for an elevator in a crowded hallway, he began yelling about losing all five categories for which he was nominated.
"That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance," West said, stomping around his entourage. "I'm trying hard, man, I have the ... number one record, man."
West was up for Male Artist of the Year, as well as Quadruple Threat of the Year, awards which went to Justin Timberlake. His video “Stronger,” was nominated for Video of the Year, a prize which later went to Rihanna for “Umbrella,”
“Stronger” also lost out on Best Direction to Timberlake’s “What Goes Around…Comes Around.” The song also lost “Best Editing” honors to Gnarls Barkley’s “Smiley Faces.”

Yeah, okay. Kanye has an ego. So what? He is actually very dedicated to his music. Have you ever really listened to the song "Through The Wire"? I guess not. Would you rap with your mouth wired shut? I know I wouldn't. He is obviously a Type A personality which means that yeah, he gets angry when he works hard to make something that he thinks he will get credit for. If I tried that hard to make something and didn't get the award I honestly felt I deserved, I'd be kinda pissed off too. No one can honestly say that they wouldn't be at all upset. Yeah, he goes a little overboard but hey, get over it. That's just him. And as for Britney Spears being more talented....that's completely untrue. Maybe when her first album came out, she was okay but now, she's just lost it. I feel bad for her. She shouldn't have performed because she's obviously not ready for that.

I for one think that Kanye West deserves an award. MTV always jips him of what he deserves. No one one this page can say that they haven't enjoyed atleast one of his songs. From Jesus Walks, to his first hit, to Stronger. He puts out good music. An dwhile I don't think it had anything to do with race, I do think the wrong people won the award. He deserved at least one. BUT HEY, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED AT THE GOSPEL AWARDS TOO. They denied him an award for Jesus Walks because the "rest" of his album didn't relate to Jesus...BUT THE SONG SURE DID...i think there are a bunch of haters! I know I'm glad he beat 50 cents cocky butt out!!!!

Blacks have inarguably influenced the cultural and intellectual development of this country. They invented Blues, Jazz, Rock and Hip Hop. Kanye may have been a cry baby when he threw a hissy fit at the awards show, but he made a valid point about MTV. The network TOTALLY used both him and Britney for ratings. Kanye deserved an award and I wouldn't put it past MTV for letting him believe he had one coming! I hope MTV reads these messages because they deserve most if not ALL the negative criticism.

I don't know about everyone else but I am little tired of Kanye West! Has he ever heard of not being a sore looser? Maybe he has lost two years in a row because of his behavior. I think more people would vote for him if he didn't behave like a spoiled child who did not get the toy he wanted! Instead of owning up to his behavior and realizing why he did not win he blames it on being black. I do not think that is the reason. MTV has given awards to many black entertainers maybe he needs to watch some past shows and see that before he uses that excuse again!!!!
