I am so glad that obama cinched the democratic nomination. I have been supporting him since the beginning I dontaed to his campaign. I made phone calls and I did everything possible. I think that he will bring about change that this country needs right now. Its time for the democrats to take back the white house I dont want another president like him that is not going to do anything and brought this country into a recession. Some people need to think about that.

I am really disappointed about this! I have been a Hillary supporter for as long as she has been running. She has much more experience and is not a pacifist like Obama. Obama wanting to sit down with our enemies to have a meeting is laughable. He will never get my vote!!!!!!!!!!!

I will vote for Obama because he is the Democratic nominee, I was leaning towards McCain, but after last night I really paid more attention to what was being said, while I am still not quite clear where Obama stands on issues, I feel he is the best choice and now that the nominee has been chosen I will pay closer attention to him and what he says.

You seem to have missed the point 12:16 was making. The point is, everyone is making such a big deal about Obama being black, when in fact he has a white mother. And it shouldn't matter, but it does because there are so many people who call attention to it and are making this campaign about his being black instead of, here's a thought, being qualified to be President. Just like 12:16's example of the co-worker who makes an issue of the child being reprimanded in school for being black, instead of the child being reprimanded for being disruptive like he/she should have been and like any other child should be in the same situation.

As for the whole bible thing, I agree with everyone who says that we need to separate church and state. Elected officials should not have to be sworn in on the bible or any other religous symbol, espcially in the USA where we have freedom of religion. Our elected officials should represent all people, regardless of religion, and having them swear on a bible or any other document that some percentage of the population does not live by is outdated and should be done away with.

A leader like Barack Obama will not come around very often. As a Canadian, I am so envious that he may be your next President. What a nice change from the dreariness of the past 8 years!!

While I am not a fan of Obambi at all, I am a registered democrat and I will vote democrat, none of the choices were a good selection this go around, the only one I would have liked to see become president is John Edwards, but the media choose Obambi just like they choose Dubya.
