Taylor is genuine & maybe he's not pretty-pretty on the outside but he speaks his truth & shares his talent w/us. his singing, dancing, composing, playing multiple instruments & most importantly keeping it real. thx taylor!!! I bought Katherine's CD and still have it in my 6 in my lexus. I love her voice even though the material was sometimes flat. But those ballads? Cmon man...they make grown men weep! Somebody please help her put a new album out with more of those!

I'm glad Taylor was dropped. Don't get me wrong! I'm a HUGE Taylor Hicks fan! Go Soul Patrol! But now, he can get out tehre and write his own music!

I am very upset about that whole Vote for the Worst.com! That has messed so many people over. Look at Sanjaya and them keeping him on so long. It broke his heart...felt bad for him. He didn't even need to make it in the top 12. Yes I agree Chris Daughtry should have won. At least he is making it big. No I did not buy Taylor or Kathryn's CD's. Hopefully Idol has something figured out with this crap. I would hate to lose that reality show.

We all know who the true winner of this season of American idol was!!! Chris Daughtry won that entire flop of a contest fair and square! I have not watched another season of this show due to the fact that they did him like this! Chris obviously was the best one, that is why he has sold the most albums and his album was gold before it even came out!! Taylor needs to go and get some hair dye and kathryn needs to put some meat on her bones!!

The only Idol's CD iI ever bought was Bo Bice's and I still love it and keep looking for another. The funny thing is, Daughtry has one out now on the radio that sounds so much lik one on Bo's CD that I have to listen a minute before I'm sure which one it is. Makes me wonder why Bo didn't get the exposure Chris is getting. If Bo were allowed another CD and had a little more input about what songs to record, I think it would sell as well or better than Daughtry's. Their voices are very similar, but I like Bo better. Daughtry pushes too hard=sounds more like yelling than singing sometimes.

Taylor SUCKS! Katharine RULES! Taylor is a joke! I bought katharine's album and i love it! Taylor's music just failed to connect with people. Katharine's album sold better than taylor's. At least Katharine is making movies now. What the hell is taylor doing????????

I didn't buy either...I did listen to some on the internet but just did not like either of them. I feel the really good singers usually get voted off earlier and do better sometimes the winner. I just hope that the seventh season is better than some of the past seasons.

I didn't buy either of their albums, but I did like the songs I heard from Katharine. I never liked Taylor from the show. I think everyone knows now that you don't have to win 'Idol' to get a deal.

I know all about the recording industry. This is probably the best thing that can happen to these two. They need to get on with a company who will appreciate and let them use their own creativity. Why didn't they sell??? Because they don't fit the same, old cookie-cutter image that everyone else follows. It's not a failure of the performers, it's a failure of their labels. There are a lot of people out there who have no talent, who are making it big, because they've sold out to the industry. Taylor & Katherine will come back around and be better than before. Besides, why would the powers-that-be (Idol & colleagues) want any of the focus to be taken off Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson; their two brightest stars? If you don't think there's something to that, you are way too naive. Like I said, I know all about this industry. It's not about what people want to hear, it's about what the recording industry wants us to hear. Stars who go independent or who get picked up by an indendent label will stand the test of time, while the bright, shiny, pretty ones will burn out and disappear.

Oh..I see alot of folks here reading he internet have big opinions! but your on the internet and they are doing what they do...probably much better than you bleary eyed surfers!
Everybody's a critic and for these folks with such terrible voices "like Taylor is just a lounge act" probably the furthest thing that Taylor is is a LOUNGE act..he is a bluesy singer that was lucky that AMERICA loved his voice and stage presence enough...ah why bother teaching you dopes alesson ...you don't care about real music, Usher, beyonce, please...if youre gonna go that route go Ice T and Jay Zee but Usher, why not Kanye? dicks

Katharine McPhee has a great voice and just needs the right music. With that, she'll be great!

Daughtry rocks! Although he should have won American Idol, it's probably a good thing he didn't. Now he can go his own way and not be beholden to Idol.

Some of the contestants on American Idol are excellent singers and could make a good living in Vegas. If you don’t write, sing and perform great music, you’re not going to turn a lot of heads… that’s just the hard cold truth.

I bought McPhee's record. There were a few good songs but the record failed because a lot of the songs sucked. Maybe its a good thing the label dropped her. Hopefully she will be picked up by a label that will give her the right material because she is super marketable.
Any of the other successful idols like Carrie or Kelly would have failed to if they weren't given great songs.
