It's so refreshing to have someone actually telling the truth and what they think...
I think what she said has been blown out of proportion, because when someone is good hollywood tries to make them look bad, not only with her, but with many other actresses and actors, who say one thing, and its taken the wrong way...
I think people need to cut her some slack... and some other people need to stop being hypocrites...

world is full of hypocrites really. People get mad at her and say don't bite the hand that feeds you yet you know those people complain about their own boss at work. But i think we people in the USA are just ignorant. We are a powerful country and think we know everyone's business. 99% of these people do not even know the politics involved in showbiz and why people do what they do, say what they say, or are even forced to say it. If people don't stand up against something you call them cowards, yet when they do stand up you call them full of themselves....

I think people who are thinking that she is full of herself is wrong. She did it because she felt she didn't deserve it with the material the writers gave her. She is right, she didn't have any tremendous action this season even though she is a great actress."This girl is really getting too big for her own good,who does she think she is ,there are better actor actresses than you girl get over yrsf girl"

What a b*tch! She is a terrible actress and clearly ungrateful for the opportunites she has. Bet she would have been thrilled with these scripts a few years ago before anyone heard of her. Plus, how can she say anything negative about a movie she did?? She read the script before she did it. It takes a real hypocrite to make a movie, go around promoting it, then claim it wasn't any good.

Not sure if you realize this, but the Hollywood industry is pretty vindictive. It's probably not the smartest move to piss off the writers of your own show by insulting their material PUBLICLY (whether true or not, first amendment rights or no). She could have handled the situation quietly. She CHOSE to go public and that has consequences. You would think she would have learned from the controversy over her statements about Knocked Up that it does not look good to launch public attacks like that. How many writers/directors of acclaim do you think are going to want to work with someone who clearly has no problems publicly selling them out when she doesn't like their material? If I were a Grey's Anatomy writer, I'd demote her to an orderly or something.

This woman complely amazes me! How ungrateful can you be??? She is no "actress" she was in a couple made for TV movies and then Grey's anatomy.. oh and lets not forget Knocked UP!! OMG what a horrible movie that was!!! She isn't worthy of an award any damn way.

I completely agree with 8:48's post. If she didn't find herself worthy of a nomination, she could have quietly pulled herself out. If her intentions and motivations were pure, "doing the right thing" would have been enough for her. But she had to go and give an interview about it and make a spectacle of it to once again, speak her loud mind.

She is a sitcom/romantic comedy actress at best. There's nothing wrong with that, and she can make millions and be respectable doing that. She's no Meryl Streep.

And besides, you never see the likes of Meryl Streep or Julia Roberts or Cate Blanchett or other serious actresses making such statements about their previous work.

Grace and dignity can go a long way in this business, as hard as that might be to believe. All KH is doing with these statements is aleniate herself from her most valuable assets, her fanbase.

I have to say this woman makes me sick. I am even starting to hate her character on Grey's. And I used to like her character! Heigl is so ungrateful, stuck up, and mouthy. First she wanted more money on the show because as if she's the main star, then she mouths off about the Writers Strike, then she mouths off about the story in her movie as if they heck she didn't read the script before hand, and now this ? I think SHE is the one that needs to just stop talking period and follow the advice she gave Isaiah Washington! Her whole thing is she thinks she's MORE than what she ACTUALLY IS. She's not going to be this BIG movie star. She better keep her dumb butt on Grey's and be thankful. I have seen this happen over and over with some people. They get a hit show and want to go into movies thinking they will be a super star only to find out after they leave their show, HollyWood doesn't really want them. I mean look she's just an OKAY actress. She's not going to do anything but play in romantic comedies. Who does she think is going to seriously consider her for roles like Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts, Kate Blanchett, etc have played ? She's always going to be the 27 Dresses or Knocked Up kind of character.

This girl really needs to know when to just be quiet. She could have taken her name out of contention and not talked about it.
