Tom Orders Katie to Take "Mommy Lessons"

Katie Holmes has hardly left Tom Cruise's side since they began dating in April 2005.
However, that support has caused her grief. According to one Hollywood insider, the actress, who gave birth to daughter Suri last year, has been told by her husband to attend "mommy classes" taught by Scientologists.
("There are parenting classes," a Scientology source confirms.)
"Katie was quite offended by that," the source tells Us. "Can you imagine when you're 28 and have your first child to be told you need to go to this church to become a better mom?"
Holmes now finds herself surrounded by fellow Scientologists (an exception is Victoria Beckham, who one Hollywood insider describes as "a link to the outside world").
From the time Holmes and Cruise began dating, the actress - who, pre-Cruise, did interviews without a publicist - has been assigned a Scientology "minder," whose job, according to a Scientology expert, is "to make sure that nothing is said or done that would be critical of the church."
In fact, virtually everyone on the couple's staff is a Scientologist. Says the source, "Everyone who works with Tom is technically minding Katie."

Would you please all back off of reporting this kind of article on Cruise and Holmes? Gee Whiz, what a continuing horrendous marital dissection for a couple of newlyweds! No one is perfect, and I would never say Cruise was or is without faults, but he is a human being and so is dear Katie. They are the parents of three lovely children and they must be doing something right. Your magazine, and others like it, seem to be breathlessly waiting and rooting for the marriage to fail and fail miserably. Just back off! Wouldn't it be more beneficial to feature a great-looking star, like Aaron Eckhart, on the cover of your weekly magazine, with a nice article inside? My thoughts are that this would sell just as many magazines at the stand, maybe more.

US weekly needs to grow up and they seem to be in the disguise of National Enquirer and the Globe. I was even offered a job to work for a radio station reporting Hollywood Sleaze. I said no thanks because I rather work for ESPN than get paid hurting other people.
Why will I be happy hurting others? I cant sleep at night doing that because I wont hate for anyone doing the same thing to me especially to those that I love.

I did like US weekly before but now I will stop buying this magazine and switch to People magazine.
Im giving a lot of love and props to Tom and Katie that even when the tabloids attack them they carry on their lives with such dignity,grace and perseverance.

What I think is funny, is that almost everyone who has made a comment are trashing the magazine for the material it prints. Isn't this story just like all the rest? Why is everyone acting like they're too good for US weekly? You wouldn't be on this website if you didn't like gossip mags. Get over yourselves!

No religion should be forced. Dsylexia is almost always overcome with strategies, Shame Mr. Cruise gives so much honor to a cult religion. I find it quite strange how many celebs enjoy such an odd religion. I lived in Clearwater Fla in the early 90's...I have personally seen and known people of this "church", Not only do they work, work , work but they give all of their money to the cult, wonder if ANY of the money goes to charity?????
I personally do not understand why many celebs give their lives to such a bizarre religion, many turn to drugs and other addictions I suppose this is theirs.

This story just keeps getting scarier. I guess a lot of women (and men) who fantasized about what it would be like to be Mrs. Tom Cruise, as Katie once did, now see what it really means. Whether you believe every single story you read, it must be obvious that something very wrong is going on over there - why didn't they invite Oprah Winfrey to the wedding? PURE INSANITY.
Katie has that look on her face of someone who has all the money she wants, but whose life is completely circumcribed. She is a bird in a golden cage. I'd rather be less wealthy and free to pursue my talent. Does anyone remember how good she was in Pieces of April?

I've been married over 30 years, and I think the Tom and Katie pairing has been bizarre from the start.

If a story is false, there is almost always one tabloid taking advantage of the oposite side of the story - so while People, Life&Style and OK! were all selling the same story, US usually had a small insert about how TomKat were happier then they appeared.
But now even US has turned the tables. And as much as I can believe anything in the tabloids, i believe that they aren't very happy. Katie always seemed like a happy person before, but its hard to find one picture of her smiling with Tom.
Oh Well.

This is definitely a frightening situation. Katie is from my hometown and she was not raised like this! We all kinda knew this was gonna happen...now we all just pray that she will get out with her mind in tact. My feeling is that if you have to watch someone 24-7 and do horrible "cleansing ceremonies" then you are just trying to brain wash someone into submission. I just hope she doesn't snap before she makes it out!

Posters on this blog are not all US weekly subscribers. I came here to give my opinion to let them know not all Americans are stupid. Why read and buy the trash when the headline magazines oozes shameless lies such as Oprah is lesbian and has divorce,Rachel Ray is depress,Bush and Laura are on a divorce battle,Nicole Kidman and Aniston are pregnant,Angie and Brad split up you name it.
Why buy US weekly when dental offices,hospital lounges and hair saloons are free to read for the public, Starbucks in Groceries have magazine stands you can skim through for free. Tom and Katie are absolute decent people. Im Christian and we go through this kind of mockings from nonbelievers so its not just a Scientology thing. Those that mock others and religions only makes their family upbringing and religion look bad because they live their lives hating and judging others.
There's this proverb that goes "if your enemies are hungry,give them something to eat,if they're thirsty give them something to drink.You will heap burning coals over their heads but the Lord will reward you". Tom and Katie are nice and they display dignity and professional despite some throw stones at them.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. I'm sure that Katie and Mr. Tom Insane have problems. Do the tabloids over sensationalize? Sure. Does the public feed the insane coverage of their relationship? of coarse!!!
But don't act like these tabloids are horrible... especially if it is you who funds them by buying the magazines.
I don't doubt that Tom cruise is nuts. His religion lies, and makes the deeply involved members believe that an alien bombed a volcano, causing humans to be filled with millions of tiny aliens, or "thetans"
