to film location production spending---that movie is going to be in the red==trust me. they're going to have to pay those three hi profile women way more than they're worth and personally, i think the movie sounds stupid. time will tell when the reviews start pouring in and the earnings are announced. maybe shreveport will get some publicity, but it never lasts. and as i believe its been mentioned before, shreveport--like everywhere else in the usa--is undoubtedly in debt already. but, yeah, like someone else said, those cops probably enjoyed it. gave them something else to talk about for sure. but it was still a waste of money and you all can type until your fingers turn blue and i'll still see it as a waste.

This is the BIGGEST production that has ever chosen to film there, and the town should thank their lucky stars and make the film company very welcome and comfortable there. In fact, the town will make a TON of money from the production filming in Shreveport. If it takes the police facilitating the production and the safety of the cast and crew, they're being well paid for it and it's VERY worth it.

Okay, stay with me...

When a film production crew is filming on location in a town such as Shreveport, Louisiana, the money is spent IN AND ON THE TOWN OF SHREVEPORT!!! EVERY location expense goes to the town in which they are filming! "Mad Money," the name of the film, stars DIANE KEATON. And yes, it IS a multimillion dollar movie as they ALL are. Shreveport, Louisiana will probably make around $5 million from the production shooting in their town and hiring LOTS of various transportation, security, local crew support, local extras, catering, lodging, extra equipment and production supplies, insurance, permits, local chamber of commerce fees, location fees, etc., etc., etc. Then the entire cast and crew will be shopping and dining and traveling on their own around this town. This list goes on and on. Imagine suddenly having about 70-100 people arrive in town, for 6-12 weeks, with millions of dollars to spend in your town making a movie. Then your town gets promoted on all the Entertainment TV shows and magazines while in production, and when the film is released, more international publicity for the town and then it's up on the screen - worldwide. THAT is how it works.

So, yeah, I'd say the trip to Target was worth it.
