I have to respectfully disagree. I don't find it narrow minded to disapprove in the message of a song. You're absolutely right that the song is catchy and has a great tune. But the problem is in the lyrics. She may be kidding ... she may not. Who will really ever know? That's not the problem. The issue is that she is sending a message to young girls everywhere (who are in fact looking up to her) that it is "okay" to experiment. She's stripping away the innocence of our young girls. Young girls who are looking for acceptance and what 'feels good' in all the wrong places because pop-culture and our so called role models are pointing them to it. Young girls deserve a role model or parent who will be open and honest about the reality of this world, but to more importantly point them in the direction that will bring true joy and acceptance.
