I don't understand why people make so many excuses for using Alcohol.

Aren't just about all of those Hollywood stars actors and singers too sex addicts?

I am really happy that he decided to do this. I hope that he gets out of this challenge healthy and more connected to Nicole. I love Keith; I am a huge fan. And he should know that all of his fans support him.

It's amazing how much these people think they know about people they have absolutely nothing to do with - as much as they'd like to think they do.

Unlike muny other fans, i know what Keith Urban is going through right now. Well actually i more know what Nicole is going though. My father is an alcoholic and has only been sober for about three years of my life. I wish the best to an AMAZING country artist and his wife in a very hard time. Just remeber Keith, a substance can't contrll your life, you control it. Just remember about how happy you make Nicole and your other loved ones (and your fans) when your sober, and work your hardest to get to a better place in your life. And just remember when you have kids to try your hardest to stay sober because i know from experiences, the worst feeling is to see your daddy, your hero, drunk and wasted. BEST OF LUCK!! Oh and everybody who keeps saying poor Nicole, you should feel bad for her, but it's not completly Keiths fault, you can't blame him for having a drinking problem, its either genetic, or due to depressed feelings, so a drinking problem is no reason to stop likeing Keith Urban. Now that i know he has a drinking problem, i respect him even more, hes just gotta get sober! :) Best of luck Keith!

Yes. It makes complete sense to gather around and support the rich and famous, like some clinging, wet blanket. Poor Keith. Here is a man who is least deserving of our sympathy - he has money, fame and position in society plus a virtual troop of minders - this guy has less reason to "fall off the wagon" than anyone else. And then there's "Our Nic" - even though she hasn't lived here for the last twelve or so years, ten of which she spent married to tosser Tom - remember him, Australia? The guy you all fawned over as "Australia's son-in-law". How soon we forget. Poor Nic - felt the biological clock ticking and married the first good-looking looser (because, let's face it, Bing and the others were old, ugly or both) who came along after a matter of mere months, despite knowing full well of his problems and seemingly not bothered in the slightest how his dependencies might affect the lives of her children. Oh, but I forget - she doesn't actually spend much TIME with those children of hers, does she? So it's pretty unlikely they even have a clue as to who Keith Urban is right now, whetheralone his alcohol/cocaine/hookers on your buck's night issues. Some hints for further posts: 1. Don't be preaching about how everyone struggles with moral issues/problems at some point in their lives. These people are not "everyone". They do not live an "everyone" kind of life. They are privileged, pampered and spoiled. Save your pity for those who deal with such problems WITHOUT the advantages afforded by their fame and money. 2. As far as I am concerned,if you choose to adopt a famous lifestyle, deal with the responsibility and media attention that accompanies the gazillion dollar pay checks. If you don't like the media attention or if you can't be a responsible role model in public, get out of the game and go get a job out of the public eye. And "pressure"??? Go meet with those supporting three kids on a minimal wage with a mortgage and zero private health care cover. Then go on national TV and talk about "pressure". 3. Saying "sorry" does not immediately make what you did okay. ESPECIALLY if you are rich and famous. (See 1 and 2 above.) It is not a "get out of jail free" card. And no, I do not respect you because you "at least did something to address the situation", especially seeing as that "something" was probably advised by your PR person as damage control for the media/legal circus that was to follow your latest blunder. You want my respect? Don't make the mistake in the first place! WAKE UP!

Keith Urban said he drank because he was bored. Can't he find anything better to do with his time like sports gardening reading TV? Or volunteer to help with charity work? I think O could find something better to do if I was bored thnathat. I like Keith and his singing but I don't like this.

Nicole was in Croatia working as a UN Ambassador for Women whose lives have been devastated by war. That's where she was flying home from. Not a film or a holiday.
Bad luck about Keith though...

KEITH URBAN RULES! I have seen Keith at 5 concerts now and he is THE BEST performer I have ever seen! He is so down to earth and I just love him! Whoever says ANYTHING bad about Keith needs a life because he is awesome. You really have no right to say anything unless you have been to one of his concerts! He's going through a hard time and needs all the support he can get! So good luck keith, your in my prayers, and I love you!

I've met Keith Urban several times and have seen him perform. He is a beautiful man inside and out. Incredibly talented and very sweet. A true gentleman. His life is under a microscope even more so since he married Nicole. I give him a lot of credit to admit he needs help. For whatever reason, he has a problem with alcohol, and he is taking control of the situation. The timing for him couldn't be worse with all the scheduled appearances for his new album, but at least he is man enough to take control, come forward and get help. For all those that are slamming the way he is dressed or his hair or his whatever, take a good hard look at your own self. I suspect you are far from perfect and apparently have way too much time on your hands if you choose to spend your time critizing others. You could only dream to have as much talent and as much integrity as Keith Urban.

Well AnonyMiss you should not be reading these boards then, because that's what people do here. I bet if it's someone you don't like, you enjoy reading the negative comments or you wouldn't be here. I bet your career mom spent lots of quality time with you and wasn't flying all over the world spending that time with others. And I bet she showed up for your sporting events and school events. Big difference.

I always find it so amusing when people condemn other people (i.e. Nicole) that they do not personally know. ALL any of us knows is what the media machine feeds us. I learned long ago that they thrive on the negative and for the most part ignore the positive. I don't know Nicole. Never met the woman. I'm pretty sure none of the people on this board have either. Considering that fact, I won't judge her mothering skills because for all any of us knows, they may be great. Besides, her kids are old enough that they don't need Mommy tucking them into bed every night. In a very few years they will be off to college and on their own. As a woman who grew up with a Mother who had a career I can tell you it doesn't stunt your growth in the least. I highly admire and respect my Mother. She taught me to think for myself, take care of myself, and be an independant woman! I see Nicole's kids turning out the same way.

Well Kimberly, your situation is a bit different than Nicole's. She has plenty of money so her children should be her priority. She will get no kudos from me. If they are happy and healthy children it is because of Tom, give the credit where it is due.
