Kellie Pickler’s dad sold her out – literally.

A source tells Us Weekly that the American Idol contestant’s father, Clyde -- who was released from jail in May after serving three years for assaulting a cop – auctioned off some of her belongings on eBay while she was on tour this summer.

“It was personal effects that he had from her childhood, like shoes,” says an Idol insider. “When Kellie found out, she was crushed. Everything was gone.”

i understand that kelley never felt close to her mom.. that her mom gave her up. the way i see it is that kelley grew up in the better home anyway. her mom tried to do what was best for her and in my opinon living with her grandma was. but its kinda weird because her mom never came back for her and then she becomes famous and she finds her? thats not right she knew that she was with her grandma..so yeah i dont know. im so glad that kelly never let her past get in the way and she has come a long way! you keep going girl!

send him back to prison for theft, he;s a low life and will only screw her over a lot more when she making it big, i have no feelings for him for doing that to her and god knows what else. i would live in the street and give my daughter my last bite of food even if i were starving, before i would ever think about doing anything like that. prison is the only way to keep the low life out of her life. sorry.

Thank God you were raised by the right people. My mom spent a few years looking for her father. She found him and he was nothing like a father she had imagined. His first love was alcohol. This tore my mother apart. She also was raised by her grandparents and always longed for a mother.

Her mom, my grandma, is a nice person but she really doesn't care about my mom. At age 60, my mom still invites her to lunch or just to spend some time with her. On a rare occasion will my grandma spend time with my mom. Keep in mind that my mom had a severe stroke and can barely walk now. She's nearly blind and all she wanted in life was a mother that cared. This "wishing for a mom" tore my mom apart.

Don't let go of your parents. They have issues that are far beyond your control. Also, don't expect them to love you like your grandparents.

When you have children make a promise to give them what you never had. Remember, if you're mom had issues and raised you, you may have been a miserable person. I have seen too many parents keep their kids as though they are property. The kids are now adults and they are in jail or prison.

This is in response Anonymous who says Kellie is ugly, annoying, and fake and that he/she hates Kellie. This sounds so self-destructive. You might hurt some of her fans a moment or two but in the end the only person you are hurting is yourself. I find Kellie to be a fresh, pretty and entertaining individual. Without knowing who "a source" is, this can't be confirmed. Why didn't anyone notice the auctions? Thousands of fans missed them? If this is true it's wrong and sad but typical of those suffering from drug or alcohol addiction. It might be time for some tough love Kellie. I see some pathetic jellus bashers posted comments. Why am I not surprised. Kellie loved and forgave her dad and hadn't seen him in a few years, and the picture was taken when they were reunited at her homecoming after Idol.

His last days in prison must have been something. He was able to configure in his head how much he'd make off of her personal possessions as he sat in his prison cell. Kellie is strong and really put her feelings out there about the whole situation. All in all he would have profited much more if he made a real relationship with her and didn't try and profit behind her back. Now he may have to watch from the sidelines if she does rocket to some type of stardom.

In defense of 1:59, I'm hoping you meant you don't believe in prisons in that they really don't reform people. How do you reform when you're in there with other losers like yourself who you spend time w/ behind bars day in and day out??? But back to the topic, I\it's no secret Kellie is not the brightest crayon in the box and sadly, I think her father knows this which is why he's going to slowly but surely bleed her dry.
