FACEBOOKI do agree that Brit is mentally unstable, however to say that a 25 y.o. is too young to be a mother is a bit over the top. I became a mother at 19 by a very controlling man who knew better. I left him, had my baby, and my parents helped out (medical for the baby, a place to stay) for a few years. I worked different jobs to be responsible (not just mooch off parents), and met my current husband during that time, and continued to have more children with him (I was in my early to mid 20's at the time, obviously). I always made sure they were safe, educated, fed, clothed, and most of all, LOVED. I never went out partying, and in fact lost some friends because when I became a parent I told them that I believed it was irresponsible to go to clubs, etc. In fact, while I was about Britney's current age, my husband was deployed for half a year. I had to be a temporary "single" mom during that time and everyone praised me for my ability to more than handle my household of 3 girls (two under 2 yrs) alone. I was very far from family at the time. I am far from being a perfect parent (I am now in my 30's), but I don't believe that becoming a parent at 19 is too young. I just think that it all depends on the maturity level and/or mental/emotional stability of the individual. Perhaps that's all Federline meant, so I apologize if that's the case.

Is Britney Spears in need of help?
Kevin Federline believes so. “He thinks she’s mentally unstable and too young to be a mom,” a source close to Federline, 29, tells Us Weekly, adding that the father of Spears’ two sons (Sean, 21 months, and Jayden, 9 months) “expects full custody of his children one day.”
(The two now share custody, but their divorce is not final.)
Indeed, the pop singer’s life has seemed chaotic lately.
As Us Weekly reported last week, Spears, 25, has been drinking again, and despite Lynne Spears' desire to patch things up with her oldest daughter, their feud continues; in fact, a source tells Us Spears is considering filing a restraining order against Lynne because “she doesn’t like that [Lynne] goes to Kevin’s to see the kids.”
(No paperwork has been filed at presstime.)
Still, Spears’ boys remain a priority: On June 22, she went shopping for them at Babies “R” Us and took them two evenings later to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, to watch the fireworks. And for the moment, Federline will be keeping a close eye on her.
Says a pal, “He loves his kids and, to that extent, he will look after Britney.”

i think everyone needs to let this girl be. why is it such a big deal on what "famous" people do when there are other "regulars" out there DOING THE SAME THING?! i do not get it! its not because she is a young mom that has nothing to do with what her actions are. yes she might be young yes she might have 2 kids close in age but hello Kevin helped her make these kids and for him to say anything about her age he should not have had any kids with her. the public needs to let her be and let her learn by her mistakes. that is what makes everyone who they are now. there are so many other actors/singers out there doing the same thing and not all of them are being criticized. why?
Perhaps if the majority of you concentrated on your own lives and stopped judging others, Brittany, and others like her, may not find the need to escape in drugs and/or alcohol. The cries for help are incredibly evident. Having children at a young age does not make one a "bad mother". Nor, do I believe that she is a "bad" mother or person. Just a person with serious problems. Remember that she can also read all that is written about her. To be so young and so criticized for every move she makes is overwhelming, at best. Yes, the children should be kept safe and protected from BOTH the PUBLIC EYE and, if necessary, removed from the care of their mother, temporarily, until (and, yes, I do believe she can recover if everyone backed off and gave her the privacy that she needs in her life right now!) her illness is over. Yes, drug abuse and alcoholism are a disease, not a crime! The father, Kevin, is trying to help his children; but remember, that he is not perfect either. I do believe, however, that his concern for their safety and welfare are genuine. As far as her mother is concerned, if one can believe in the printed word (at least some of the time), she is craving attention and publicity, and not putting the welfare of her daughter first. If she were, she would not be making public statements. This cannot have a positive reaction from Brittany. The rate of suicide in this country by persons in the spotlight have skyrocketed in this age of instant media coverage. Let her be! Better yet, let the one with no transgressions, cast the first stone....... No one?... didn't think so.....
This whole thing with Britney is not funny. She has a lot of the classic symtoms of Paranoid schizophrenia which manifests in young women usually in their mid twenties and/or with hormone changes (pregnacy). Many of her bazarre actions point to this. I had a daughter with this horrible illness. Notice I said had. Sucicide is a real and present danger.
one week with me and Britney will come back to herself.
I am a good girl from good home, i have values that i got in my home and i'll be happy to transfer them to others, so give me Britney and i'll change her back.

Hate all you want, but this is incredibly sad. Britney was a talented little girl and her mother brought her up right. I used to read up on her and the two of them were very close. It's not just an example of one person, it's an example of what happens to soo many. It's pretty obvious she was exposed to numerous drugs because of her status and they eventually took their toll. She's not even remotely who she once was. She's mentally unstable and it's SAD. Because drugs ruin lives and you can blame the person all you want, but she wasn't a bad person to begin with.
People, I am confused by some of you; even her mom is concerned about her, and she is a total whack job.
As far as people voting against her mom for being friends with K-Fed, I am a grandmother that has a divorced son and daughter-in-law; I continue to be VERY CLOSE to my daughter-in-law, she is after all the mother of my grandchild. They too share custody, it took awhile for my son to except that we were friends. But once the sting of the divorce was over, he is grateful and we all get along.
