Kiefer Sutherland Released from Jail

24 star Kiefer Sutherland was released from Glendale City Jail just after midnight, TMZ.com reports.

The actor had served 48 days for his second DUI conviction back in September.

"He has been a model prisoner," Glendale Police Department Public Information Officer Agent John S. Balian tells Usmagazine.com. "No problems at all. I think he is anxious to get out and continue his life back in society."

Sutherland celebrated Christmas, New Year's, and his 41st birthday while incarcerated.

He also passed the time on laundry duty.

"He is always staying busy," Balian tells Us. "He has never griped or made any negative remarks about doing things when the jailers ask him to do. He acts like a normal guy. He knows that he had to do his time and now he is looking forward to getting out."
