I don't think people are concerned with the theories and spiritual practices of Scientology so much as thier recruiting tactics.

I'm sure people have benefitted from Scientology just like they have from inspirational books, Christianity, Judaism, etc.

But if ANY religion or theology group, uses bullying tactics to get members, resorts to infiltrating the government (look at L. Ron's wife went to prison for this)and tells it's members it is okay to lie and use any means possible to convert people - that's a cult.

Cults have been born out of Christianity - but Christianity isn't bad. We have seen some of the cult attitudes that condone murder, using the Muslim religion - but the Muslim religion it self is actually very peace loving and spiritual.

In short, concern over scientology isn't what they teach. Infact trying to listen to inarticulate Tom and you have no idea what the hell they even do.
But concern over scientology's tactics of recruitment, what they call "donations" and who thier members seem to think they are Authorities on everything - that is a massive concern.

Cult isn't about religion - it is a mind set that may use religion as it's vehicle.

I'm all for people believing in whatever they want. The thing that seems odd is that whenever Scientologists talk about Scientology everything is so vague. If it's so great, why not share your teachings with the world? Really do something with the knowledge you have, you know? Saying that something is the answer or is great or whatever is just not believable to a normal, rational person unless you have specific information and experiences to back it up.

You have several videos, made with celebrities, that are off the wall. They'd be stupid and showing a bias if they DIDN'T show them. It is a site about celebrity gossip.
