A day after her American Idol ousting, Kristy Lee Cook announced she is getting hitched.
Cook, 24, said her 25-year-old beau, Andrew Dobner, first popped the question on March 17.
They kept the news "on the down-low" because "I just wanted to be focused on Idol," the Oregon native told Usmagazine.com in a conference call Thursday.
He then proposed again last night on Idol.
"He actually got down on his knee this time," she said. "He owed it to me!"
Cook said they're planning to tie the knot "next June sometime."

i didn't really like kristy that much, maybe cuz she sings country. DAVID COOK or JASON CASTRO are my faves :)
I think American Idol is stupid cuz they make the contestants sing the type of music they are not good at, like making amanda sing country when she is good at rock. kristy was good, but american idol was not for her. i am happy for her though! jh

We have a joke in our house about David A. We all scream ~ Arcugonnalet him go! Seriously overrated and very annoying.
I can't imagine listening to an album by him or sitting through a (yawn) concert. A child prodigy gone wild. He may have been impressive when he was very young, but his ability hasn't grown to star quality at this point. He still has a very long way to go if he is to be successful.
David Archulletas voice is soooo annoying. When he speaks it drives everyone in our house crazy. And yes he does sound like he's having an asthma attack.
Kristy was a very good singer, but she is more of a country singer. I will be waiting to see when she comes out with a CD and I know it will a county one. She has potential and she should be proud of how far she got. The winner this year better be David Cook. He is the BEST out of them all. AND if I see Brooke cry one more time I am going to pull out my hair!!!! The world would probably flood if she actually won American Idol. AND I know I am probably going to get some of your undies in a knot, but David Archuletta has gotten so annoying. His voice drives me nuts!! Congrats to Kristy Lee! Even though she wasn't my first choice for Idol, she did make it to the top 7 of all contestants on AI this year...which means she can sing better than most of us bashing her!! I wish her well and hope she realizes her dreams!
He probably just proposed to make her feel better, so she wouldn't blubber and cry all over herself as she was getting booted off Idol.

Nancy Grace, though that is not her real name even though she introduces herself as Nancy Grace, she does have the potential to serve a noble cause. The wrong name indicates only one thing for Nancy on her show; the beginning of her lies for that show. You see, Nancy’s noble cause is that she has some positive potential because every beer that she consumes, whether while on the air or not, makes it one less beer available to under-age kids out there. So Nancy truly does have a positive purpose in helping out society. Secondly, she is a mental health patient and she may use that to better educate the public of some of her dysfunctions and explanations to some of her irate and unprofessional conduct leading to so many “settled“ lawsuits against herself. While she rarely discusses this part of her misconduct, perhaps in the future she may be more willing after she gets canned from yet another show. She’s been canned by three shows in the last two years already. There are few people in the USA that can consume so much alcohol and such a regular basis as Nancy. You go girl (granny), pound down the suds instead of pounding down your fists on your desktop like you did when you verbally assaulted that poor mother of a missing child. Thanks to Nancy, and Nancy alone, we may never find that missing child. Her current weapon of choice” BudLights, warm or cold.

Amen Okie! You speak nothing but the truth my dear. Sad but true Sarah, most men are NOT romantic or just don't know how to be romantic. You have to drop hints here and there to let him know what romantic is to you because I'm pretty sure most men have no clue.
I honestly need to correct the comment I made earlier about my proposal sucking. It wasn't at all what I dreamt and hoped for BUT I forget sometimes that he didn't grow up watching the same Disney movies I did so we have different ideas on what is romantic. He proposed to me right before we went to bed?!! I know, I still scratch my head on that one but at the time...all that mattered is that I've been with this guy for 7 years and while we've never talked marriage seriously...this is a nice surprise and I feel blessed. Now, I hound him about being "Mr. Unromantic" but I see as time goes on...he's getting better. I'm sorry for typing this rant but I know what you mean about the hot coils. I was the same way until I did actually get engaged. Good Luck my dear.
I guess I'm just a blessed one after reading the comments, my husband is very romantic and my proposal was the greatest! Congrats to Kristy Lee......I hope the wedding plans are as stress free as possible :)
