One year after Anna Nicole Smith's tragic death, Larry Birkhead and 17-month-old daughter Dannielynn returned to Nassau, Bahamas, to visit the graves of her mother and late brother, Daniel.
Dannielynn placed a pink toy turtle on Anna Nicole's unmarked plot and whispered, "Mama."
"It's tough," Birkhead says in an interview, airing tonight on Entertainment Tonight. "Even though [Dannielynn] doesn't understand, it was important for us to come. One day I can tell her that we went to visit her mom."
Birkhead says the gravesites are unmarked because "a rough draft came back with a sketch of a picture I didn't care for.
"I could just hear her hitting me over the head saying, 'Why did you let that picture go down!?'" he added.
He says he is still at work on the design which will be "so grand and big. It's going to encompass Daniel's stone too."
Though he wishes their burials were closer to home, he says he is leaving the decision to relocate them up "to Dannielynn when she's older.
Still, he says he makes sure he reminds Dannielynn of her mother and brother every day.
"I keep a lot of memories around," he tells ET. "I quiz her and she knows Mama. I say, 'Where's Mama?' and she'll give Mama a kiss on the picture."

Larry needs to get a real job and a real life instead of living off photo ops and Anna Nicole's memory. Besides, it isn't too bright of him to be hung up on someone who turned on him and denied him the chance to see his baby when she was alive. If I were Larry, I'd be glad she's gone and I'd never try to keep her memory alive even for her daughter, because she was trash.

I'm just happy to see Dannielynn with her father, rather than with some stranger or crazy relative. She's an innocent, adorable girl who cannot help what she was brought into, at least Larry is trying, and she has a good home and has love in her life. All of you who have the nerve to say anything bad about the situation should be ashamed, we don't know what these people are like and who they are.

To all of you that are saying evil things about Dannielynns mom, just remember, that little girl knows nothing more than her mom is gone. And that is not the little girls fault. I don't agree with the photo ops either, but Larry Birkhead is at least trying to keep the presence of her mom around. And that is not a bad thing. I hope that K-Fed does the same thing when Britney OD's and there are two little boys without a mom.

He is a great father, and despite the fact that he may do publicity with his daughter, I think its therapeutic to know that they are so loved.

1122- No, she's not. Some babies have a natural redness or rudiness to their lips. The reason adults don't, is from all the lipstick or chapstick products we put on our lips, from being out in bad weather, and just our age. I really doubt they put makeup on her- she doesn't need it!! :)

He made a deal with ET. They paid him 1 million to have full coverage on his battle to win Dannielynn. After he gained full custody, I'm sure he still has the contract with ET so they probably arranged this.
I thought something was up with this guy but he's only proven to be a very loving father. Sure, it's not the best situation to raise her in...but I think he's raising her the best way he knows how. We're all not perfect people or parents so who are we to judge?
