Lauren is a little cold hearted snake in the grass. She tries to hide her true emotions but there is always a little flicker that goes across her face, giving away what she is really thinking. Examples: She comes home from the date really disappointed about her ex boyfriend Steve being pretty indifferent to her, and wanting to interact on a strictly platonic basis. But she goes into her house & tells Lo "Oh, yeah. Being with him just reminds me of being in high school. It doesn't really work." (to paraphrase) when in fact she seemed to feel really rejected. I notice she rarely turns on the big smile except when some guy she is interested in is showering her with attention. When poor Whitney slipped on the stairs on Good Morning America, Lauren's face absolutely lit up with a huge smile. She could barely contain herself. She tries to hide it most of the time, but she envies Whitney because Whitney is more beautiful and more well adjusted emotionally. Everyone praises Whitney in front of Lauren and you can practically see her seething inside. Funny stuff. Anyhow Lauren's self righteous attitude toward her former friend Heidi is very sad. She just didn't like Heidi ignoring her advice and picking a boyfriend who didn't like Lauren. She's gonna make her pay forever for that faux pas!! I don't really think she even believed that Heidi and Spencer started the rumor about a sex tape. It just gave her a good excuse to vent her unjustifiable rage at them.

I think what she is really saying "I know I am a horrible human being".

When you grow up rich like LC you are use to the world catering to you. Then if you are most popular in your group of rich friends you are use to calling all the shots and having people kiss your butt. This behavior is somewhat normal among highschoolers and usually stops after highschool. Because of LC's wealth he hasn't stopped for her. In fact adults and authority figures around her probably kiss her butt. She's never had that post highschool experience of being out in the world and having your older co workers bosses and professors not give a hang about it and having to constantly prove yourself. In other words, this girl has never been humbled. Because of her money she probably never will, and that is where a lot of her problems lay.

I have no pb with lauren she seems like a nice girl but she has this thing about her where she thinks that she is better than anybody else and its her way or no way...she needs to grow up and realise that life doesnt go around her at all...

She is the ONLY decent thing to come from that show. Hopefully things will work out for her. And hopefully Spencer & the blond ho will fall off the face of the earth.

I dont like her anymore. she makes me mad. she does seem to think she better than everyone and I highly expect she doesn't want camera seeing her in the factory because she doesn't design the clothing. probably hired someone from the money she made from the Hills and stomped her name on the clothing.

Its not LC's fault that her parents have $. They brought her up well enough that she must work and learn what its like to earn and maintain an income and just to enjoy the fruits of your labor. She has never steered away from that goal and I think its ignorant of anyone to try to challenge her walk. She's not perfect nor immune from fault, but she is a big majority of ladies who don't get enough credit for the caution they practice and the responsibilty they have for themselves. Don't be jealous people, be supportive...don't know the girl and she can't be all that bad.

I agree with both 8:57 and 9:00, if she wanted more attention or bad attention, we'd see it on camera ...the paps camera. People are dying to see her slip up more. That's why losers (H/S) still have to talk $hit about her cuz their riding her "Hills" coat-tails.

Lauren is extremely chill. She's not an attention seeker, she's not loud and obnoxious, she doesn't dress slutty. I'm actually shocked she was put on Laguna Beach (and now the Hills) in the first place only because she comes across as a low key person and doesn't create drama -- which isn't usually the type of person MTV wants. They usually WANT attention wh*res like Heidi. It's really cool that Lauren is the more popular one because it shows that people do still want to watch the person who is more identifiable. I mean, Lauren was born rich, and I'll never be able to identify with that, but she's never acted entitled and she does seem to work hard. If only Paris Hilton could adapt some of her class.
