Lauren- i'm glad you think whitney should have her own show. for all you people who posted who said i don't know, whitney is not interesting enough or stupid or whatever else- here'es why: i watched a after show epoiside on the hills and jessi or dan asked whitney why she did not what to have her personal life be on the show and she said i think it was something like it was a little imature for me and not really me, so i figured if i was going to have my own show called the city i was going to go for it full hartedly and take it all in and enjoy everything. maybe that explains why we did not see that much of whitney, even though we did not see that much of whitney that does not mean that she is a bad person or mean or stupid or not interesting or not ready to have her own show. who would you guys have preffed to have the to have there own show? brody already is going to have his own show bromance, how about audrina would you guys watch a show for audrina, lo, stephanie?, heidi, Lauren, frankie?, Doug?
i think its great that whitney has her own show the city it will refelct exactly who she is, and there is a hot boy she likes(jay lennon i think thats how you speell his name) he was on the dream boy, dream date epoiside, and i think one other however i can not think of the name of it.

It will be BORING, will last one season. If she didn't open up on the "Hills", why would she open up now. Is MTV trying to do another Sex and the City with Whitney being "Carrie"????

I do not think that Whitney can carry a reality show on her own because she will have to be on-camera more and she is barely on-camera as it is. She will have to be present more and put herself out there more and she will not be able to do that. She has used the other cast members on the show as a distraction from her and she still got paid to barely be on the show. If she has her own reality show, she will have to do more work on-camera and that is something that she does not feel comfortable doing. I think that it would be a great idea for Whitney to get off the show and enjoy working at the PR firm and make the same amount of money as the other employees.

The Hills is a magnificent socio-emotional commentary on society today even if MTVipulated. It touches on a social nerve and heart chord because for many what it portrays on whatever scale rings true and there are so many lessons to be learnt on so many levels. True friendship, jealousy and insecurity, devious manipulations for emotional hurt or monetary gain, healthy and respectful relationship boundaries, ambition, wise parental counsel, positive mental attitude and survival after crisis and the healthy ditching of unhealthy relationships with those who cannot be trusted. It is a learning curve that we have all walked upon.

I love the hills. And I'll be watching whitney. It's all going to be great and wonderful. lol.

For all of you that hate Hedi and Spencer from the hills,and you think the hills suck, you sure do know alot about the show,Could you be watching!!

For crying out loud!? What do these girls do that makes them so interesting? I am so sick of "LC" and crew. Get a life girls - and get to work or you'll be losing your homes like Ed McMahon and the rest of us that try to make a decent living. It won't be long before the rest of the world realizes you aren't that interesting! And I refuse to buy another magazine with any of them on the cover!

12:01, agreed. They've cut TRL short so that they could add in more reality TV shows...LOL. Don't get me wrong, I love watching The Hills and A Shot at Love and The Real World. But come on, how many reality shows can 1 channel possibly want to show, let alone a MUSIC channel. I think MTV's forgetting what they were originally made for.

And I love Whitney. Whether or not Lauren approves, I think Whitney will do great. The reason everyone thinks Whitney isn't as interesting is because she doesn't get as much airtime. Although I do find it odd that she wants to keep her life private but is agreeing to do a Hills spinoff. Regardless, I think it will be fun to watch. I admire her strive in fashion and how she always keeps her composure, no matter what the situation.

Why do yall think you know whitney port? You see a few hours of her ife on tv.Who knows?She might be a real witch waiting to come out of Lauren's shadow.She never seemed all that genuine to me, but then again, I don't know her either.

I think it's awesome Whitney is going to have her own show. I think it will be a very interesting take on a young woman striving to achieve her goals in the Fashion Industry hopefully without all the drama. Maybe they are trying to appeal to a whole different audience...viewers with goals. Perhaps all of you that keep posting that she's not interesting enough you should all set your channels to Jerry Springer or Maury Povich or the Hills. You don't have to watch Whitney's show.
