Lauren Conrad was in model mode yesterday in L.A.
The Hills star — who just turned 22 — picked the models to walk in her fashion show at a casting call yesterday at the People Revolution PR studios in L.A.
Also there to help: Pal Whitney Port, who works at the powerhouse public relations firm.
Conrad, who makes her L.A. Fashion Week debut Tuesday, ran into another reality star at the call: America’s Most Smartest Model contestant Andre Birieanu.

Lauren is a great role model. She has goals in life, is attending school, and is a great friend. You don't see her getting DUIs and stuff.. I'm glad to see she's having such success.

i absolutley love her! i own one of her dresses and i love the fabric!! she is truly talented. she is a real role model and i totally respect what she does. she doesnt pose for pictures or pay the paps to follow her she tries to stay out of the media, she adopted a puppy from the pound!
she is so amazing.
its amazing that MTV had to beg and plead with Lauren to do another season of the hills!!
she really didnt want to do another season she just wanted to live her life!

Okay LC haters, need I remind you she is one of very few young women in Hollywood that is a good role model. It's nice to see someone not so superficial and actually has work ethic. There should be more young celebrities like Lauren for young girls to look up to.

I don't 'hate' LC but I'm not a fan of her, including her collection. If Lauren wasn't famous, her collection would never make a label -- it's un original, Victoria-Secret-Wannabe clothing, IMO. Nothing stands out, kind of predictable and just bleah.

I agree with b, at least Lauren doesnt seem to call the magazines every time she makes a move. Her pics are indeed candid shots unlike the loser Heidi, who I cant stand btw. Besides, Heidi was the one who dropped out of college for no reason where Lauren tried to make it through with a realistic career prospect.

Congrats to Lauren, Shes a young talented woman. Shes trying hard to achieve her goals, just by simply working hard. Many of us would wish to have her life. Shes only 22 and already buying a $2 million home. Not many of us can do that. And shes not even a celebrity. Shes just a yound girl that followed her dreams.. Shes a great example to alot of us!
