Will The Hills be coming to the big screen?
Maybe.
"We have kind of talked about it," Lauren Conrad tells MTV News. “We have absolutely talked about it.
“I think if they were going to do a film of The Hills, they would basically film it like we do the show, and they would just edit it into a movie," she added. "It would be like a really long episode."
The new season of the MTV hit, which debuted Monday, scored its highest ratings ever, attracting 4.7 million viewers. It was the most watched program across all of TV for viewers aged 12 to 34 and the highest rated cable telecast of 2008.

I think its kind of funny on how you have some people talking so negative about the Hills and yet they tend to know the characters very well....Plain and Simple if you don't like the show...ask yourself this question, 'why do I continue watching it?"---> this goes towards the Anonymous person who came up w/ idea# 1 and 2 about the movie. If you don't like the show then stop watching it! There are more shows on cable tv sweetie!!;P...swear some people are plain IGNORANT!..Thats why its funny to laugh at people like that!
"it'd be like a really long episode." Really Lauren? She's so f*cking stupid. This crap is honestly the end of civilization. What do you offer anybody besides your constent whining? I actually hope it does become a movie and then she'll see how much she has in common with other no talents like Jessica Simpson.
Lauren Conrad is a sexy girl. She's a beautiful woman. She's so gorgeous. I love her. I saw her profile with photos and videos at myinterracialmatch. c o m. I also found her blog there. It's said that she's seeking for a young man to be the BF ? Is that ture ???
HELL YAH!

I'm all for a movie. They can do 2 things for a movie:
Idea #1: They can put Lauren, Audrina, Lo, Heidi, Spencer, Brody, Whitney, MTV crew, and anyone else from the show, and put them on this big beautiful boat. So they set for the high seas and enjoy their endless partying night. When all is comfortable, all of a sudden in the middle of the night Lauren wakes up and realizes the boat is filled with water. Soon everyone discovers there is a HUGE hole on the side of the boat (this was intended). Soon the boat starts to sink and the only thing they have are their floatie devices. Of course Heidi has 2 floatie devices (her life vest and fake boobs). So now the WHOLE MTV crew and all "The Hills" dung are floating hopelessly in the middle of nowhere. To make things interesting sharks are soon lurking. No one has a chance of survival. You all know what happens next.
Idea #2: Put MTV and all the brats on an island and let them NO what real life is all about. I'd get the simple pleasure of watching them all die of starvation. Heidi would be so dumb, she'd think she was on a taping of "Baywatch" and she'd bounce her fake knockers while running on the beach. All the monkeys would come out and watch Spencer. They'd ask themselves, "Why is the white flying dog from 'Never Ending Story' here?" and then they'd laugh at him. Lauren would whine the whole time. Audrina would think it would be a perfect time to take some more "artistic" photo's. The monkey's also laugh at her eyeballs. Lo would just be annoying. Brody would be....he'd tried to swim, but he drowned. Whitney, with her valley girl talk, would stay positive. MTV crew wouldn't care because they'll be taping Heidi the whole time while her fake knockers are bouncing.
Or they can just NOT make a movie, but I would much rather see them get eaten by sharks or dieing of starvation. MTV should hire me.
I love this show it is definetly my guilty pleasure. I think this show would do great as a movie and may even go to number one in the box offices. Why wouldn't you if you have over 4.7 million watching this show every Monday and is also the most watched program across TV from ages 12 to 34? I know people would not go to see it just because of the fact that they would be inbarest to be seen watching it.But then again Most of us don't give a crap what people think and would go see it any way.
oh thats totally not scripted!
I'm not so sure this is totally scripted. These people aren't actors and their dialogue and reactions seem very genuine. However, I do think certain coincidences are set up by the producers. Like whenever Lauren and Heidi end up at the same place... I think the producers had something to do with it, without it being scripted.

If for some god awful reason they do, do "The Hills" movie I think it should be made for mtv only and not take/waste up theater space

If that ever happens, and it shoots to #1 in the box office...I will literally move away, and go somewhere that is actually cultured on not prided on stupidity.
That is funny! LMAO
i totally think it would be hit at the box office, say what you want but 4.8 million views on the march 24 episode is pretty damn great and i know all you closet watchers would see it along with the boyfriends....i am sure the girls want to start wrapping the show up so they can live their lives normally as possiable and a movie probably might get them there and the hype might slow down but (I DOUBT IT!).People are drawn to Lauren Conrad and ya the show we know is not 100% real but makes great entertainment and the cast is the key so you haters don't knock it unless you've be bitten by the HILLS mania you got to hand to MTV for yet a another highly addictive TV show still on air just like good old REAL WORLD AND ECT.!!NEW SEASON IS GONNA BE HOT WAIT AND SEE!!!!!!!
If that ever happens, and it shoots to #1 in the box office...I will literally move away, and go somewhere that is actually cultured on not prided on stupidity.
Actually, this isn't that crazy of an idea. I realize the Hills is fake, but I find myself tuning into the reruns. Why doesn't MTV send all of the cast on a vacation to someplace tropical or just someplace amazing? Send them all to Hawaii, or Italy, or Spain, or Bermuda, or Jamaica, etc... (there are countless places, but those are just some of the standard vacation destinations) and see how they interact in a different setting. Or, have Audrina and Lo go with Lauren back to Laguna and rent a beach house or something. I'll even concede that Spencer and Heidi can be in it (despite the fact that they are the ultimate cheese and annoy me), and even Stephanie (Spencer's sister), but please, no more Brody Jenner. He's cute, but he serves no purpose on the show. We don't need a random good looking guy for the sake of having a good looking guy. I don't know, it could easily be way cheesier than the show, but then again, it could be interesting, at least on some level.
If they made the Hills into a movie,? it would have to be good, and yes, I'd see if it were good!?
I think the Hills is the shiznit . Sure beats watching Guitar Hero 3 all day . A movie would be overkill , but hey -- someone ' s gonna go see it . The show is nothing but drama and they need to add a black girl in there , but its keeps a conversation going . Do what you do & get money .
Um...is US Weakly aware that the people who are actually in charge of this is the MTV/Viacom conglamorate and NOT Lauren and her dead-behind-the-eyes allies? Since LC and the gang are just personality-free pawns they have absolutely NO say in whether there would be a movie or not. A reputable journal of opinion like US Weakly knows basic facts like that, right?
Of course since the LAST time MTV made one of it's soul-deadning reality shows into a movie was just so profitable (The Real Cancun), I can understand the magazine thinking this story has legs. (Rolleyes.)
You have got to be KIDDING ME!
A movie - what would it be titled.... "The Hills - Lauren's struggle"...Give me a break - a whole movie of Lauren trying to look like a victim, wow is me, all my friends betray me...
I haven't watched the hills since two seasons ago, US Magazine does so many interviews with the stars from it that I feel like I don't even have to watch the show anymore! LOL...
Christ this chick needs to get a real job and get over herself. She is about as interesting as putting on my tube socks. I'd hate to see what she'd be like if she had to compete for employment like everyone else in this world. She'd flunk at it.
Is anyone else totally sick of The Hills??? I know I am. It's the same stuff every show. I am so bored with L.C. and her crew, and I used to be a BIG fan!!! I think if The Hills became a movie it would just be complete overkill. P.S. It's not even real reality (not like anything is these days). It's absolutely scripted and it gets more fake wih every season!!!
I Love, Love the Hills! But I think a movie would be overkill.
Well you know if Yogi Bear, Fred Flintstone, George Jetson, Bart and Homer Simpson, Fat Albert, and Mr.Bean can do it, Lauren Conrad can too!
LOVIN LC
I would definitely see the movie. I love the TV show and I think the movie would be great too.
To all of you that say it's scripted:
of course it is, in fact EVERY reality show is scripted.
The minute footage gets edited it becomes scripted. And Lauren has admitted that sometimes the cameras will miss something and they'll ask them to repeat what they said. It doesn't mean it didn't happen, they're the same words, just repeated. WHO CARES! It's still fun to watch, and obviously 4.7 million people agree.
It you don't like it, don't watch it
This just in....Lauren talked on the phone today.
If you all believe it is scripted, then give them credit. They are really good actresses!!!
I dont even like admitting that I watch this...there's no way that I would go to a public place to do it! I can't imagine that it would sell- Nicely put...a guilty pleasure.
