All these awards shows are more than a bit corrupt. Have you ever wondered who actually decides on the winners anyways? Most judges in my guess are probably older, gay, white males who have biased interests? It seems more like a popularity contest than a contest about quality. I believe that the winners are more than deserving but if you look at the winners every year you might notice a pattern that if something is trendy, a bit edgy, or presently popular you are almost a shoe-in for a nomination. It seems like there is little diversity in the selection of judges. If you had a comedy which was about a good-looking gay couple who went to congress to fight for their right to marry, set this to music and dance, boy you'd be guaranteed and Emmy or an Oscar.

With hundreds of channels worth of programming flooding the airwaves these days, there's always bound to be a few Emmy snubs. Usmagazine.com is wondering, which was the most egregious?
Be sure to come back to Us on Sunday for complete coverage of TV's biggest night!

I spammed the thread? I listed the nominations. What I posted was more relevant to the core topic than the f*cking article was, you nimrod.
The Emmy's are soo predictable. They never go for the quirky critically acclaimed cult favorites. Only the big network shows with the highest ratings. Gilmore Girls deserves many nominations, not just in terms of writing but in terms of acting as well. As did Buffy before it.
I would like to formally apologize for spamming this thread. I forgot to take my medication.

Gilmore Girls was absolutely horrific last season!! Lauren's Graham's character was manic and annoying and there's no chance in hell she was going to get an Emmy nomination. That boat sailed for Graham after season 3.

Jen1 WOW I didn't think you ever took a shower. You must have your days messed up, it's not Saturday yet.
Apparently, Deadwood was eligible for this season...so Ian McShane is definitely a snub in the best actor category. Connie Britton is really good on Friday Night Lights.
It's still beyond me how 24 and Keifer Suthurland keep getting nominated, but whatever.
The one thing I'd like to see is Aida Turturro win for Supporting Actress. Janice Soprano is one of the greatest characters ever.
ET call for delivery man, it's not like you're in the woods. Certainly they have delivery there. We were just an excercise *weeping*? How could you toy with us like that *screaming*? Joking.
There are always snubs, that's the way it is. They can't all win.
I NEED BACON, EGG AND CHEESE SAMMICH!!!
Nah, I can take the women. It's been an interesting exercise, actually.
Geeze man chill. Can't take all the women around here? Some of us think you're ok. But good luck w/ the "it" guy. Don't go postal ok. Maybe cut back on the booze? Drink your water, and maybe take a break and go get some food. Better yet call for delivery.
You'll be happy to know that I'm going to be at a party Saturday with one of the IT guys. I'm going to see if he can remove the block on my old boards. If so, I assure you that you'll never see me again.

Let's not annoy me so early in the day, eh? I have a blistering hangover, need a bacon, egg and cheese, and the f*cking cafeteria is closed. I'm dangerously close to going postal. So how about STFU, 'kay? I made a post on topic.

Michael C. Hall is an astonishingly good actor. He never got so much as a nomination for Six Feet Under. I think he's too nuanced for a group that votes a show like 24 best drama. He's brilliant.
But the biggest snub...maybe that I've seen in my lifetime...is of The Wire. The last season was pitch perfect. It is so far above and beyond the competition, that it is proof positive that the Emmys are a farce. How does arguably the most critically praised show in the history of television not get a single nomination? After such an incredible season? I have a feeling some people are showing up late to the party and that it'll get it's due after the last season next year...kinda like the Academy did with Lord of the Rings.
I know the feeling Jen1 - I have a Poser who just won't quit! :-(
interesting, apparently I posted while I was in the shower. There is also a slight difference between 8:13 PM jen1 screen name, and mine.....
umm I dont know about that 9:14
I only watch news. I agree good speech though.
Wonderful speech by our beloved President George W. Bush.
Free Iraq.
Best President this United States of America has ever known.
i thought Natalie Portman is dating Samberg..guess not..
Michael C. Hall from Dexter should of been nominated
7:26 shut up you stupid lazy fat b!tch. Put your kids on a diet.
Lauren Graham and the rest of the cast of Gilmore Girls were robbed! The show was around for 7 WONDERFUL years and it never was recognized by the dum-dum Emmy nominators! Lauren Graham was both witty and emotional in this great show and deserved the Emmy! And like Suzette said, Lauren not only deserved the nomination, she deserved to win!
nobody. they're all a bunch of pimps and ho's. that should not be rewarded in Hollywood.
I think Lauren Graham not only deserved a nomination but the Emmy! Gilmore Girls was one of the BEST shows on TV and I wish she had gotten the recognition she deserved.
