Sure she's entertaining, but when you get over the novelty of somebody who just speaks without thinking, you realize that the things that are said by people who speak without thinking are just really, really thoughtless and ignorant and devoid of any substance whatsoever. I think she's a flash in the pan.

British popstar Lily Allen knows how to make Americans blush. From her weight to her self-esteem or her love life, Allen is known for speaking so openly that even her adorable accent can't mask the shocking content. The Smile singer continued the trend when she went out on the town with newyorkmag.com. Keep your smelling salts nearby and read on for excerpts!:
On why she got into entertainment:
"When my parents were away and stuff, I had to get myself off to school and I could never be bothered to do it. But when my dad was an actor, I remember I'd stay with him when he was on location and people would knock on his door in the morning. 'Come on, you've got to get up! You've got to be in the makeup chair in two minutes!' I knew then that I wanted someone to wake me up in the morning. 'Oh, okay! I'll be an entertainer. I've got no responsibilities. Perfect.'"
On how many Allen siblings there are out there:
"I don't know. I honestly don't. My dad lies about it. He's like, 'Okay, it's eight.' And I'm like, 'We know it's twelve.' There are a few years before he met my mom that are unaccounted for, but law of averages would say he had five [kids then]."
On genetics and trade-offs:
"I've got my dad's short legs and long back. My mom, my sister, and my brother all have blonde hair and blue eyes. I'm the only one like this. My sister's very tall and beautiful. But then again, I'm talented and rich."
On being in the tabloids: "I think people hate me in England. I’m in the tabloids. I don't want to be but I am. I'll write 10 million nice things and then I’ll write one thing that annoys me and it's like, 'Lily Allen slams Lindsay Lohan. Lily Allen slams Madonna.' And I become that person who badmouths people, which I'm not."
But then again...:
"I can't wait until Lindsay Lohan goes to jail. 'Boo hoo hoo. I'm going to jail.' Good. Does that mean you'll stop showing me your [lady bits] now?"
On the biggest difference between America and England:
"Here they get their [hoo-has] waxed. I get a strip, a runway strip. I don't think I could get it done in England. They stare at it. They spend ages doing it. It's like, 'Get it over and f-ing done with!'"
