Lindsay Lohan began shooting her spot on ABC's Ugly Betty on Saturday, her rep tells Usmagazine.com.
She was so excited to shoot, a source tells Us, "Lindsay arrived on set 45 minutes early."
Adds the source, "Lindsay and America [Ferrera] really hit it off!"
Variety reports she'll play a down-on-her-luck old high school pal of Betty.
Lohan's first episode airs on the May 22 season finale.
Her rep tells Us the actress will also appear in multiple episodes of the ABC hit.
Lohan is also set to star in the forthcoming film Manson Girls as one of the murderer's cult followers.

1. In many ways, Ugly Betty is the "in" thing to do. Other guest stars who've done stints on the show include Gabrielle Union, Victoria Beckham, Rita Moreno, Gina Gershon, Tim Gunn, Betty White, Patti LuPone, Gene Simmons . . .
2. If she can act well and keep a professional demeanor on the set, so much the better. If she has exposure to mature, professional adults who aren't interested in the party scene--even better, if she can make friends with grounded people who will help stabilize her--that works, too.

Lindsay is talented. Even if you don't like her, she is. She has been since she was 9 years old. She got caught up in the Hollywood crowd and it's hard for me to like her lately, but she's still very good at what she does. She's far better than most of the other actresses in her age bracket.

L.L. represents the opposite of everything Ugly Betty stands for. Betty is all about beauty on the inside and poking fun at those obsessed with external appearance. What is L.L. but an inauthentic poser with too much clothes, booze, and parties? Why does the show need her on it?

Just 3 years ago, Lohan was paid $7 million for "Just My Luck." Now she make guest apearances on TV shows...Her career is in the toilet. She has a few minor roles in low-budget independent films and a CD in production that will sell a few thousand units.
Lohan is so over. "Chapter 27" has only grossed 55k....pathetic
Hollywood has moved on from the 2003-2005 Teen Queen. Lohan is only A-List with paparazzi.

The question "Is Ugly Betty good for Lindsay?" annoys me. Why must everything in Hollywood be a calculated career move? These are actors. Let them act. Acting is an intense art that you really have to love and I hate that Hollywood diminishes it by making it all about ratings and publicity.

hell I even see her in that video dance battle with Miley
I think her career is back 120% on track not to mention her new movie Chapter 27 still showing
