In the new issue of New York magazine, Lindsay Lohan takes off her top to recreate “The Last Sitting,” the iconic 1962 photos of Marilyn Monroe. Famed photographer Bert Stern snapped the shots.
Was the actress, 21, nervous about going topless? Nah.
“I was comfortable with it… I didn’t have to put much thought into it," she tells the magazine. "I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honor.”
On the Monroe photos, Lohan says, “Here is a woman who is giving herself to the public. She’s saying, ‘Look, you’ve taken a lot from me, so why don’t I give it to you myself.’ She’s taking control back.”
In the article, Lohan also blames "this industry" for Heath Ledger's untimely death.
