I have actually done a ton of research on the Manson Family, and i dont necessarely like to watch box office hits portaying the manson family in a light of "stardom" but i do watch a lot of documentaries and interveiws only because i am interested in the psychological aspect of it, and this is for the convo's below me that were argueing over the fact that charles Manson killed someone at one point... He actually never physically killed anyone but the reason why he is in a Penatentury is because he was
Harboring Murderers and because he did have such an influnence on these people to kill, He is a threat and he is mentally unstable. He actually did say in an interview that if he ever had the chance to murder somebody, that he would do it and he also said that he wouldnt change anything that he did. Not to mention the fact that when he was busted they found multiple stolen vehicles, Drugs, and children who were not being taken care of properly including runaway teenagers... NOT TO MENTION everything else they ever stole from the people they murdered.
AND ANOTHER REASON WHY THEY WONT LET HIM OUT OF PRISON IS BECAUSE HE HAS NO RIGHTS! He was there most of the time when these murders occured, which means guilt by association... just because he said he never killed anyone, doesnt mean sh*t, he's mentally unstable and has no rights at all. He has already been up for porole a few times but got denied and they will keep denying him and his followers. Hes threatend to murder police at the prison ON video, there is no way he or anyone involved with him will ever be released from prison.

Making this movie is no more or less degrading to the victims families than "Zodiac", "Son of Sam", "Jack the Ripper", the Ted Bundy movie etc. I give 2 hoots about anyone making money off these tragedies it won't do very well and will be a bomb at the box office anyhow so why not give some people (and not just LiLo) a paycheck. Also what the hell do you guys think DateLine and Nancy Grace do? They make money off of other's pain. They cover it up by saying they are looking for "justice" but to sick minds it is still acknowledgement and "glorification" besides even the "bad people" get paid to be on the shows to do interviews. So what makes this Manson movie any different?

I agree, this movie should not be made. The families impacted by the Mansons will ONCE AGAIN have to relive the pain and suffering of losing loved ones. How horrible for them.

Bin Laden didn't murder anybody either, but we still hold him responsible for 9/11, don't we? Even though Charlie didn't directly kill anybody, he had the murders committed. Making this movie will only bring attention to the murders again, and I think Sharon Tate should be able to rest in peace without 12-year-olds seeing this and thinking it's a horror film. The murderers are behind bars, and deserve no fame.

Lindsay has a co-starring role as "One of Manson's followers." I am sure her salary is modest. The days of getting $7.5 million for "Just My Luck" are over.

This story needs to be put to rest. And no he did not do the act himself but he was more than guilty and should have been put to death. And all the digging they'll be starting here soon we'll all end up hearing sooner or later he did kill quite a few people.
