Boy, did I ever have it wrong. At 25, I had given birth to my first child, was a struggling single parent working a full-time job from 8:30am to 4:30 5 days a week AND a part-time job 4 nights a week from 5-9pm AND Saturdays from 10am to 9pm. That lasted for 3 years until I was too exhausted and cut back to just 1 full-time job. I didn't realize that as a 20-something I was supposed to have been irresponsible, immature, and self-serving like Nicole. So dumb of me! I wish Lionel Richie had been my daddy. Then, I too could have grown up to be a selfish, useless human being with nothing really tangible or important to offer the world and daddy would still be making lame excuses for me even when I'm 25 and supposed to be an adult. All parents should just do what Lionel Richie does. Instead of exhausting themselves teaching their children responsibility for one's actions, morals, and respect for others, they should just do what he does and take the easy way out. Just look the other way and make lame excuses for their bratty offspring's inexcusable behavior instead of actually parenting them and making them accountable for their actions. Much easier. Wow, the Richie family must be so proud.

Wow Lionel, god forbid her dumb behind killed somebody, then what would you have said. Drunk driving is not what ANYBODY at ANY age should be doing.

At 25, she shouldn't be making those mistakes. Is that acceptable because she's in the entertainment industry? I don't know what she did before "Simple Life." Oh, yeah. Forgot, she's a spoiled little rich kid.

Okay...he does realize she's 25 not 14? He keeps acting like she's acting like a normal person. Most people who are 25 have full time jobs and responsibilities. At some point you have to grow up. If she is pregnant, hopefully she will finally grow up. Her father also needs to stop using his daughter for his own publicity.

at 25 she is supose to be a responcable adult it's not ok for her to causing her dad trouble she's not 15 anymore at what time do you hold your kid responcable... my kids are 18 and 22 and they know what i expect from them and a DUI would be the wrong answer forsure love them yes but tell them it's ok no frickin way!hold there hands all the way to the jail is what i would do!you do the crime you do the big peoples time!

This story was all over the news previously. The quote he gave about doing what she should be doing at her age was related to getting in the news so much. He said she's living under a microscope these days and he didn't. She was apologizing for being in the news so much.

When did it become acceptable to take pills,smoke dope and drive a car? She could have killed someone (or herself). She is so forgiveable because she is a celebuskank.
