Multiple births are no longer chance occurrences. Fertility drugs are guaranteeing pregnancies and often times more than one egg is fertilized. Result? Twins. Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Rebecca Romijin, Geena Davis, Nancy Grace and now Lisa Marie Presley are among just a few. The only point is that having twins used to be a more rare occurrence and has now been mainstreamed by those well-to-do folks that can throw down the high bucks to produce their offspring and the "medical procedure" usually results in twins. No act of God or some divine intervention at work here. Just more of the rich buying what they want and cheapening the entire experience which once was more natural and special.

A news report once said that eating lots of sweet potatoes increases your likelyhood of having twins. Figure that one out.

Lisa Marie Presely has twins that run in her family. As you age the liklihood of having multiples increases, especially if you have already had at least one child.

So there, can we all MOVE on from the subjec of IVF being so rampant in hollywood now?

If you doctor feels that you are healthy enough to carry a pregnancy to term and you have the desire to have children it is no ones business how old you are.

Lynne (4.18) - You commented on how unlikely it was to have twins at Lisa Marie's age. Actually, I learned 3 years ago (when my 40 year old sister had natural twins), that it is actually MORE likely (crazy right? You'd think it would be opposite since you'd be running out of eggs)

Wow. These comments make me laugh. It's unfair to assume that everyone who has twins has had IVF, although it certainly looks that way in Hollyweird.

I had a set of twin girls a few years ago when I was 30 years old after already having 2 girls (the twins were our attempt at having a boy). Yes my twins were natural and twins also run on my mom's side of the family.

The article sure wants to put IVF rumors to rest before they start by making it clear that Elvis was a twin and that Pricilla has brothers who are twins. I doubt that Lisa Marie has any any fertility troubles, since she already has other children and may not have even wanted to have become pregnant with these babies in the first place.

I worked for a hospital and my job was to help people get help for medical expenses for women who were having babies or just had one! And, let me just make this very VERY CLEAR, IT WASN'T WHITE HILLBILLY TOOTHLESS TRASH POPPING OUT BABIES LEFT AND RIGHT!! But, because I do not want to offend or hurt anyone feeling I'm not going to say or state a race! Everyone has hard times and needs help! I also believe EVERY RACE HAS TRASH IN IT TOO!!
