Less than a month after leaving Utah’s Cirque Lodge, Lindsay Lohan is poised to make a comeback to the club scene.
A source tells Usmagazine.com the actress, 21, is set to host a New Year’s blowout at Las Vegas hot spot LAX.
But Lohan isn’t exactly breaking out the noisemakers about the gig.
“Lindsay doesn’t necessarily want to host, but she’s contractually obligated,” a source says.
The source tells Us Lohan took on the gig in order to pay back the “hundreds of thousands of dollars” she got by agreeing to host her 21st birthday in Sin City at PURE Nightclub (which, like LAX, is owned by Pure Management Group). Lohan was forced to scrap the July 2 bash to focus on her treatment in rehab.
Adds the source, “She already took the money from the birthday gig and can’t afford to pay them back.”
Her rep had no comment.

She's still EXTREMELY over-rated and I don't think her wild ways are even close to being over so whatever with that bust-out. On another note, I just read a comment where someone mentioned Jessica Simpson....can I just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE that she does her best to stay out of the tabloids now and is really maturing when it comes to all this gossip garbage. I think she's great and I hope she continues to grow and mature and be a better role model for young girls! Way to go Jess, show those other "celebutards" how to handle yourself with a little bit of class. Not keen on seeing a "working girl" remake but because I like what shes doing lately, I will go see it just to support her!!! (Please Please Please let their not be a "jess" thread by the time I refresh this lol)

News Flash ---- Lindsay is broke. She does not have the kind of money that Britney, Paris, Nicole, etc., have. She makes about $7 mil or less per picture and she only takes home a percentage of that - and not a large percentage! She has been spending way beyond her means for years and it's now catching up with her.

I really don't know how she is making all this money. She's done a few movies and before that she was a Mousketeer. Paris Hilton makes loads of club appearances so I' m sure Lindsey is doing the same. Are we supposed to call her an "actress"?

Oh right, there's got to be more to this story than this. I've been reading that Lohan is running out of money or something, but I can't believe it! First off, she gets all her drugs for free. That's a given. Second, she makes millions of dollars per movie and gets endorsement deals and appearance fees in addition to that. So why can't she afford to pay back this money? Maybe she just wants to keep the money and host the party, but she knows that many people will not approve of her hosting, so this is her excuse for doing it anyway. That's my theory.
