I think it's great they limit the gifts. The holidays are not about spoiling your kids it's about Jesus and we (and the retail industry) forget that. However, I'm sure the three gifts they give are very expensive.

That's good for her kids. Less present will help them know the meaning of it and appreciate it. If you give you kids 100 presents, he/she can't check them one by one, so, it's waste of your money. My kids are only getting three gifts as well. Jesus received only three as well. In an effort to claim what the season is really about we are continuing this tradition. They are happy with it and more thought goes into each item.

The point, in the way these famous parents handle Christmas gifts, is to teach their children restraint and moderation. They apparently understand that you can't put a dollar sign next to LOVE [unlike many of the bloggers here]. Talk about a Material World! At least these people understand that a ga-zillion presents is no substitute for good parenting. Good for the Richies!

well they could be three BIG presents, but really, what's the big deal with limiting it to 3 presents? I think it's a good idea given that they live in a world of excesses. furthermore, I have friends who are very wealthy as well, and you know what their kids usually want for birthdays and christmases? pens or sunglasses or little knick knacks. when you already have everything, getting gifts at christmas isn't as big of a deal.

Their whole lives are like Christmas morning, they probably hate getting ripped off at Christmas when they get whatever they want every other day of the year. I don't know of any other 10 year old who has a personal stylist, do you? Yeah, Lourdes and the gang have it rough.

OMG I at LEAST get like 20 presents every Christmas, and I doubt that my parents are as weathly as Maddona, also those little kids toys are really cheap, do you think that since they only get 3 presents, they are good ones like iPods and Laptops?

It's nice to see a celebrity family not extremely spoiling their children on Christmas. I'm sure those kids get gifts on a regular basis anyways.
