OMG I would love to wear this... it's new and different. Marc was thinking outside the box.. and thats what we need in the fashion world today.

I'm really glad he made these and that most people won't dare to wear them. That just means more for the fashion daring like myself. Fashion isn't for the fair of heart.

oh, my that is the worst! not even fit for mc escher if he were to come back and disign a wierd backwards shoe like this. i mean the whole heal sticking out horizontaly from the toes just looks like a clunky, ugly block....worse than stripper platforms! and why they put a black rubber gripper on the end of it is even a worse addition. i mean, whats the point!? if you get your foot to make that kind of angle to make contact with the ground, you are allready on your way down!

Oh wait...one more comment...is that a disco ball at the top? What the hell? Now it's just super UGLY! Marc Jacobs, you are a true artist and I understand everyone has a bad day but what the hell were you thinking the day you designed these? Thinking of how you could raise everyone's insurance premiums when women actually try to walk in these things and break their neck/leg/ankle?

Eh... I know some fashion, and I don't like how this looks. The ball needs to go, the color looks too harsh - but that may be the lighting in the photograph - and it looks too blocky. I wouldn't say anything about how you can walk in it until I tried one on in my size. You can't tell what it's made of - i.e. how supportive it is - and the model wearing it could be one less experienced wearing high heels - why her feet look red. They definitely do, however, cut off circulation, note the white parts of her feet and shin - so I wouldn't wear them past trying them on.

Actually, you should always stride in heels with the proper heel to toe gait. Walking only on the balls of your feet puts too much pressure on the metatarsals and can cause damage. The heel should be properly balanced beneath your heel to allow comfortable walking. Walking only on the front of your foot leads to other issues, including a less than attractive stride in which you may be compared to a gazelle

I would like to see a man try to walk around in these things all day long and see how b*tchy he would be! looks like this Marc Jacobs charecter is a woman hater!!!!

I gotta say this "CRAZY!" Yes, they can use it on runway, but how long do model walk on runway? Hours like we do? NO! Are we going back to the old time when Chinese men thought only 3 inches feet are sexy? Women feet are being ruined by the whole fashion and what men want to see us wear. This is insane. This shoes has no support on your heel, which has more strength to carry your weight, so all your weight is on your toes, cut off circulation and weaken your muscle and bone. Good luck with that. Pretty shoes don't have to be painful. Why do you think God creates our feet to be the whole feet, not just the toes part?!

These shoes are amazingly designed and beautifully constructed. Love the color, love the unique shape. Love, love, love them!

Celia Cruz used to wear shoes similar to these. They were her staple. She walked, danced and ran in these kind of shoes. I truly appreciate something different. Keep up the good work!

I believe Steve Madison came out with a similar design to this a few years ago. The lower part was made of wood and the reverse heel extended farther out. The upper was a open heeled strappy style.
Walking in them wasn't any worse than walking in regular heels though it did take some time to get the hang of it.

I also agree the ball has to go though.

This shoe is unlike anything ive ever seen! If you dont appreciate his artistic expression and push for a new outlook on the average heel you dont have a sense of fashion. Noone takes risks in fashion these days. I salute him for his creativity! I would be honored to wear them any day!
