Call Mark Sudack a casualty of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s whirlwind love.
For nearly four years, Carey, 38, quietly dated the music producer, who worked on her E=MC2 CD.
Though the two secretly split in early 2008, Sudack is shattered by his ex’s nuptial news.
“Everyone is scared to call him because no one knows what to say,” a pal says in the newest issue of Us Weekly, on stands now.
“He never thought she would go off and marry someone else. He’s heartbroken and shocked," says the pal, adding that he "loved her so much."
As for Carey, it seems she couldn’t be happier with her new husband, 27.
At Ellen DeGeneres’ 50th birthday carnival bash in L.A., she told fellow guest Pink, “Five minutes after I met Nick, I knew I’d marry him.”

I agree about being bothered with her mom not being there on her 'wedding day' what about her brother? no one from her side of the family has been pictured which makes me believe its all fake. mariah is better then this to use her relationships as publicity.

I do agree with how in the past she has been so private and all of a sudden she want's he love displayed in front of the cameras. If this is a stunt, I just think it's wrong to bring family members into this, etc. And who the hell get's married without their mother being there? Come on, that has bothered me since day one.

I don't buy that mark and mariah are split up... this is all one huge publicity stunt. the way mc carries on with nick on tv makes it look obvious. its way to out there even for her. shes so private why now be open about her relationship? something gives. she has a new album out and movie soon. so it makes sense. she could have picked someone better then nick cannon. what happened to his career? seriously, i can't wait to see how the publicity stunt ends. i'm going to be laughing!

Well, first of all, Mark was also part of her Management team. That's why they were always together. Who knows, we can speculate all day long and still be no closer to the truth. But when it's all said and done, none of it affects our lives. She can travel the world with whomever she chooses, but I still gotta work my 9 to 5 to survive.
