Mario Lopez and his Dancing With the Stars girlfriend Karina Smirnoff have called it quits, she tells the New York Post.

"He's a great guy. I think the world of him, but I think we're both concentrating on our careers right now," she said.

The two recently returned from a beach vacation Miami.

Smirnoff met the actor on the third season of the hit ABC show when he was a contestant.

In March, Smirnoff told Us "there is nothing" to rumors she's hooking up with her former DWTS partner, R&B singer Mario.

"We have a completely professional relationship," she told Us. "I have a lot of respect for Mario. He is a great person."

Lopez added that the rumor was "funny."

In April, after another round of split rumors surfaced, she told Us: "You know, everybody goes through ups and downs in their relationships. That’s kind of a given, and it’s normal. But Mario and I are going strong."

Karina is not into men significantly younger--so no she won't be involved with the other Mario. And you can see it in her eyes she's not into Men of Color either.And I do agree with the earlier post that Mark Ballas split with Sabrina Bryan. You can look in Sabrina's eyes and tell she is very insecure and didn't like Mark kissing Kristi on the cheek even though she's married.Mark is affectionate and cute-and I do agree they didn't want it revealed before the competition ended that they had split. There are so many fans that want to believe in young love lasting forever instead of opening their eyes... Folks date in early to mid twenties THEN potentially look for something serious--c'mon people, it's SHOWBUSINESS..Some folks aren't settled in their 40s, can anyone say-- George Clooney.

They just use the relationship for publicity anyway. The more they break up and get back together, the more times they get mentioned on this website. That’s how Karina got her name out there. At least they really dated for a while. Mark Ballas staged a fake relationship with Sabrina Bryan and they are still lying and saying they are together just for attention from the media. I can’t believe all the Sabrina fans keep falling for it. Mark is using them for votes! But I guess all if fair in Hollywood if people are naive enough to believe it!
