This is stupid... I'm sorry that her dog is dead but does it has to be a headline story... I heard it on the news and now it here tooo. There are more important news others than a DOG!

Martha Stewart Loses Beloved Dog Paw Paw

 TheMarthaBlog.com Martha Stewart blogged that her beloved Chow, Paw Paw, died of renal failure last Saturday just before his 13th birthday. “Paw Paw was a spectacular chow and an even more spectacular dog,” she wrote. “He was always my loyal companion, displaying the most agreeable temperament.” The pooch — who was featured often on her TV show and in her magazine — "was always a willing model for the camera," she noted. In his final days, Stewart said Paw Paw "just stopped eating and drifted off to deep sleeps." She said she is convinced "he now rests peacefully, and, I’m most confident, quite happily. My sympathy to Ms. Stewart. I hope that in time she will find another canine companion as loyal and loving as her beloved Paw Paw. She needs to take time to grieve and not try to get a new pet too soon.

Bonnie, thanks for the info :-/ You dog could not be a "lab/Chow/Australian Shepherd mix" and weigh 135 lbs. You probably have the breeds wrong. Most people incorrectly identify mutts. He probably has German Shepard not Australian Shepard. Those 3 dog breeds you mentioned are NOT big dogs.

My 135 lb lab/Chow/Australian Shepherd is 14. He looks like 1/2 brown bear(front and tush) and 1/2 wolf (tail and legs). White chest. He has thick chow fur, and comes up past my knees, 2 ft. high. He is the best dog. A fireside pal, he is a toddler lover, a fine swimmer, protective of babies and grandmas. He loves any blonde female doggie, although he has been neutered. He particularly loves Golden Retrievers and Golden Labradoodles. He used to have a Firehouse Dalmation for his girl before she died. He basicly brings them giant milkbones and cleans their ears with his tongue, along with lots of big smiles and nudges. I got him for my husband long ago, because the house was full of me and our daughters, so he would have a boy pal to talk to. Yes, he even talks ! He "comments" (ooohhh, mmmmahhh, roof, awroolluh) on the NASCAR, football, goes to poker games, eats beef jerky, etc with the guys !

that is such a shame. I have lost a cat and I know what its like to lose a pet you love so dearly. My prayers are with her thru this diffcult time.

How sad for her, my mother had a very loyal German Shepard for 11 years and her house was broken into while she ran errands and her dog was killed by the intruder that was robbing her, losing a pet that is that loyal is hard and devastating for the owner.
