Matthew McConaughey, Baby Levi Leave Hospital

 Steve Granitz/WireImage.com Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves are back at home with their newborn son Levi. The actor, 38 was spotted carrying the baby out of UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, around 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Looking tired, Alves, 24, got in the passenger seat of a car; McConaughey got in the back seat, holding the baby. See Matthew's Top 10 shirtless moments. The day before, McConaughey's pal Lance Armstrong and girlfriend Kate Hudson popped by for a visit. McConaughey said on his Web site that he and Alves were thrilled to bring the baby "into this wonderful life and look forward to livin' it with him." He also revealed that the baby's name is another name for the apostle Matthew in the Bible. "They were, in fact, two names for the same person," he wrote. (The baby's middle name, Alves, is in honor of the actor's girlfriend.) "Make no doubt about it. My kid will dance," McConaughey has said of his baby. Why is it that some of you can't read an article about something as simple as a notification of the end of someone's hospital stay after having given birth,without picking it all apart so that the whole point is lost? This is just an article that shows a mother, father and baby starting out as a family--three instead of two and the happiness they shared!The intrusion into their privacy is bad enough without bickering over trivial matters!

Congratulations to matthew & Camilla,however I feel sorry for Kate Hudson & Lance Armstrong.What in the heck were they doing visiting them at the hospital?Kate's 2 yr. old son (Ryder) has had at least 4 father stand-in's since birth!Actually,since she has a body of a male person,we could say 5 father stand-in's(figures).

Since Matt and Camilla live in an RV-type trailer thing on the beach, is there where they actually took their baby home to, or did Matthew man up and either rent or buy a home to take his child to? I have nothing against anyone living in trailers, mobile homes, etc., but seriously, the thing doesn't even have a shower, which obviously isn't the best place to bring a newborn baby home to. Just curious if anyone knew.

I am aure thae car seat was back there, juse because he was holding the baby getting in the back seat doesn't mean he was holding him in the car on the ride. I am sure he buckled him in when he got in the car. Jump to conclusions much people?! Congrats to them!

hmmm 9:49 oooh call me names so big of you. 9:55 ahhh try reading I said birth. I wasn't implying that he or any man had nothing to do after conception but honestly what major role did he had for 9 months and the birth? Feet rubbing, craving getting? For the whole 9 months while the baby is in utero a man's role is limited is it not? I just think US should have had a better title than Him and the baby leaving the hospital. He wasn't admitted in. So excuse me that it didn't come acrossed the way I had intended. My point is and still is He didn't technically leave the hospital Camila and the baby did. The title just erked me. I don't know why a two bit gossip magazine has everyone at each other's throats. Sure I read it cause heck I have several hours to spare today but honestly it's a freaking gossip magazine.

I think 9:45 wasn't trying to step on toes. Maybe the title shouldn't have hinted he left the hospital since he actually wasn't in there. I've noticed the fathers (who said sperm donor?) general get all the kudos after birth and honestly support is all they offer but come on it's actually the woman who goes through the birth not the man. So technically after conception until the baby is actually born it's all woman.

9:45's right. If you've ever been pregnant or given birth, like it or not: the dad isn't vital. They're great for support and all that, but basic biology leaves them out of the birthing process.
